Did you know U.

It's one of the ways we honor the serviceof military members who call Minnesota home.
If you're a Minnesota resident receiving federallytaxable military pay, you may be eligible for a subtraction.
Both current and retired military servicemembers are eligible.
This may lower your Minnesota taxable income.
If you are a veteran of the U.
S.
military, including the National Guard and Reserves, do not miss out on the "Credit for Past MilitaryService.
" You may qualify for a tax credit of up to$750 for your past service.
That's a dollar-for-dollar reduction of anytax amount owed.
If you've served in a combat zone or qualifiedhazardous duty area, you may qualify for a credit for your service.
The credit for service is $120 per month orpartial-months served.
And as a member of the U.
S.
military, youmay get an automatic extension if you cannot file or pay your Minnesota income tax by thedue date.
The exact extension rules depend on your dutystatus and where you're stationed.
