Annon-Guy: I know, right? Tumblr should allow you to take a vote back and vote up to three options at least.
In retrospect, any thoughts on the nine main protagonists of the Persona Series?

Alright, main protag thoughts (for all 10 actually there was someone you forgot but we'll get to her):
P1 - Naoya - I like this guy a lot actually. You don't really get much of his personality in game as they did the 'silent protag' thing with him but if you actually research his lore he's REALLY interesting.
Did you know he's a twin? He had a twin brother named Kazuya who died before the beginning of the game and this HAUNTS HIM. He's also the only protag to have a 100% canonical love interest and that's Maki.
P2 - Tatsuya - An annoying little shit. I love him dearly but my god this kid needs to stop being melodramatic. We get it: it's the 90's and you're bisexual. Get over yourself.
On a more serious note however: While he is my least favorite of the protaginists, he's definetly one of the most well written and I think that's because he gets two whole games to shine in that are main series titles.
P2 - Maya - Maya has so much going on and I honestly feel really, really bad for her. She and Tatsuya both had to experience that timeline reset but she's the one who got STABBED WITH A SPEAR BECAUSE OF A PROPHECY SHE HAD NO PART IN. Good god girly I am so sorry and I hope you are thriving in the main timeline or whatever.
P3 - Minato/Makoto - Ah yes, door jesus. I think out of all the protags he's definetly my favorite only becuase he's the one we get the most real development for within the modern trilogy. He actually feels like a character on his own and not just a self-insert. I also think his friendship with Elizabeth is the most meaningful out of all the protag/velvet friendships.
P3 - Kotone/Minako - As much as I think she's an interesting addition and she has an outstanding personality compared to many of her counter parts, I feel that Kotone kind of falls flat. This is less her fault as a character though and more on the fact that she's in a doomed timeline that will never get to have any real meaning to the rest of the series as a whole. I also don't like how much the fandom sees her as shipping fodder for Shinji, Akihiko, and Junpei rather than as her own character.
P3: Answer - Aigis - I like her as a character and not so much as an MC. I understand why they made her an MC but I think they could've done a better job.
P4 - Yu - I would add Souji too but considering that he actually gets called Yu in canon games unlike the other characters who simply get called 'hero' or 'joker' or whatever, he's just gonna be Yu here. He's my sister's favorite and tbh I definetly get it. He has some of the best relationships with his party memebers in the main story and he's overall just a goofy dork. He's funny and charming and I see the appeal.
P4A - Labrys - This girl is a walking tragedy and I am wishing her all the best. She's also just really fun to play as.
P4D - Rise - This is the forgotten one and yes she is a protag I don't care what anyone says. She has some of her best screentime and overall development in P4D and I think it's a crime that people don't take this game seriously just because it's a rhythm game. Like, I originally didn;t like her very much when I first experinced P4 but it was P4D that made her grow on me.
P5 - Akira/Ren - Listen. I don't have time to write an essay on this man and you don't have the time to read an essay on this man. All you need to know is that he as some REALLY interesting lore implications and if the series decides to use this to their advantage they could do some awesome things with him. I also like his relationships with his party members and his sense of justice is superb. I LOVE him in Strikers btw.
