it’s been a while so 3 things abt malec that people would be surprised abt (together & separate)

1. Everyone things Magnus and Alec would be all freaked out in the field when they are sent on separate missions but it’s not true. The two of them love each other but more than that there’s a lot of respect and trust in each other’s capabilities. Even if they are freaking out on the inside, they know that if the other one is going on a mission—they can handle it on their own. So they do not, ever, meddle in each other’s work. Even if it’s a dangerous job.

2. They are not perfect people and they are not perfect parents either. They mess up like everyone else too. Sometimes they disagree on the parenting aspects like how much should Max be allowed to engage with his demon side (like talking to Elyass). Alec just assumed that Rafael would grow up to become a shadowhunter until they had a disagreement and then Alec talked to Rafael about what he wants.

3. Everyone knows Alec is a hoe for Magnus. But Magnus is an even bigger hoe for Alexander Gideon Lightwood. Sometimes Alec has to barely do a thing and before you know it, Magnus is ripping apart Alec’s clothes like they personally offended him. There are also other times when Alec puts a little show for Magnus where he tries to most ridiculously outrageous outfits like hot pink pants with orange zebra printed shirt. Magnus wants to puke at the clothes but he ends up dragging Alec to the changing room.

P.S. I didn’t get the separate part. Do you mean things malec does without each other that people would be surprised about? Or was this ask about lrhwy malec lol. Let me know and I shall deliver that too. Hope you liked these Annie boo🌻

Zara Dearborn. She makes my blood boil like no other. And she also serves no real purpose other than to just be a whiny, lying, racist, bitch. She seems to be cruel just for the sake of being cruel. Throw her away.

I feel like with the divorce au Max had to learn about his race and culture and I can see him doing that by going to other Black celebrities and of course Elyass and asking some questions to learn more about his background as an African American of course well probably never see this because there’s a lot going on right now and you already have your outline done but it’s just a thought

If you notice, whenever Max is listening to music in the fic, that is whenever i have mentioned the song, (except for them french songs) he is listening to Black Artists - Aretha Franklin, Ben E King, Bill Withers, Boney M, Michael Jackson, James Brown etc. It's a character detail I included in the fic :)

Max has a classic taste in movies and music so I don't see him loving a lot of the new stuff - unless it's like Marvel or some shit. That he loves.

I might not be able to include him talking to these individuals (but thank you for sharing and let's say it's canon!!!!) because I don't like writing scenes with real celebs lol (Justin Trudeau was a tiny exception).
