Takas Sa Batangas! (1)

“Everyone has their own story” as the line goes. Well, Lipa, Batangas has so much to tell. Known as the city rich in history, Lipa is actually the last villa of the Spanish government during its rule in the Philippines. Consequently, it is also hailed as the “Little Rome of the Philippines” being home to several Catholic churches, convents, seminaries, Catholic schools, and retreat houses. Located just 90 kilometers away from Metro Manila, Lipa, Batangas is the perfect place to visit for those who are longing for a quick escape from the hustle and bustle of the Metro without having to travel far.

It was the night of April 4, 2024 when I began listening to the stories of Lipa. At 9:00 Post Meridiem, my family decided to bid farewell to our hometown as we were about to visit Lipa, Batangas. We loaded the car with our luggage and we were ready to hit the road! It was just a quiet trip. Almost every member of our family just came back from our own itineraries, so technically we were all tired. We stopped over at a convenience store to grab snacks to munch on during the ride. The trip lasted for approximately 3 and a half hours. Surely, it was a quick trip but it wasn’t a surprise as the roads weren’t as crowded as they usually are during daytime. Hence, I personally recommend leaving at night to avoid traffic jams, given that the driver is in his best condition! After all, safety should always come first. 

As soon as we arrived at our destination around 12:30 Ante Meridiem, we could already feel the Fiesta vibes. We were welcomed by Fiesta banners hanging everywhere, as well as food stalls around every corner. It was already past midnight but the place was still as lively as I could imagine. Unfortunately, we were tired from the trip, so we headed straight into my papa’s house. His family waited for our arrival. They offered us the famous Batangas Bulalo to fuel us up after the long drive. Of course we couldn’t refuse as the aroma of the Filipino beef shank soup in clear broth with cabbages, bok choy, and sweet corn was calling our names! A steaming bowl of hot rice and a spoonful of fish sauce were the best accompaniment to the Bulalo. After filling our stomachs, we proceeded to fix our luggage. Soon after we settled down, it was time to go to bed in order to prepare for the next day’s activities. 

The next day, April 5, 2024, at 9 o’clock in the morning, I was awakened by the loud parade sounds outside the house. As I got outside the room where my family and I slept, I was astonished to see unfamiliar faces! It turned out that they were there to celebrate the Feast of San Vicente Ferrer with papa’s family. When I got to the dining room, I was shocked to see a buffet of Batangas’ specialties! However, of all the scrumptious meals available, the one that caught my attention were the small, orange balls that looked like “kwek-kwek”. I hurriedly got one as I was excited to see a familiar food. As I bit into it, it did not taste anything like “kwek-kwek”! Surprisingly, it was Batangas-style Buchi. It was a deep fried, crispy bite-sized piece of kamoteng kahoy locally known as balinghoy. It is wrapped by a molded orange wrapper made out of flour and atsuete or annato as food color. My grandmother told me it is best served with hot coffee. Soon after I satisfied myself with the signature meals of Batangas, I went ahead to take a bath and get ready for the day. When the visitors left, we decided to tour around the area. More than the history, cuisine, culture and traditions, Batangas is also rich in scenic views and refreshing climate. Additionally, it is a popular tourist destination known for its accessible beaches, so we seized the opportunity and searched for different beaches throughout the day for us to visit on the following day. After deciding on where to go, we enjoyed the vibes of the place. As a city girl, it isn’t everyday that I get to experience a Fiesta. Later that day, we strolled the busy streets of Lipa. There were stalls everywhere! From food stalls to merchandise stalls, I was really tempted to purchase anything I saw! They were really eye-catching. Minutes after we started strolling, we found a place to kill time. We found a native carnival, a perya. We were excited to go inside. When we got in, we found out that there was nothing really special about the place. It was just similar to those in the cities. Same rides and game booths. However, upon exploring the place, I found a poster that caught my attention. I was very intrigued as I read “Alena, Ang Babaeng may Ahas”.

I TSEK MO NA YAN: ANG AKING “TRAVEL BUCKET LIST”

Ang paglalakbay ay isa sa mga pinapangarap ko sa buhay. Makapunta at maranasan ang iba’t ibang klase ng kultura at mga magagandang tanawin. Halina’t samahan ninyo ako sa aking paglalakbay gamit ang aking imahinasyon na maaring matupad pagdating ng panahon!! Iilan lamang ito sa mga lugar na aking minimithing puntahan kaya’t tayo na’t maglakbay!!

Ang mga sumusunod na lugar naman ay ang mga destinasyon na aking pinapangarap na puntanhan. Samahan ninyo ako at ating iisa-isahin ang magagandang tanawin!!

1. PARIS, FRANCE

Eiffiel Tower

Ang Paris ay isa sa mga pinakamagagandang lungsod sa buong mundo at iyon na ang isang dahilan kung bakit ito ay tinatawag ding lungsod ng pag-ibig.Kilala ang bansang ito dahil sa masasarap nitong pagkain, magandang style, at mayamang kultura, tiyak na maihahatid ng capital ang lahat ng tatlong ito.Ito ang kaunaunahang lugar na aking pupuntahan kasama ang aking pinakakamahal na kasintahanan iyan ay kung ako ay papalaring magkaroon ng kasintahan, Okay lang din namang wala :) self love mga siszt

2. ITALY,ROME

Colosseum 

Ang Colosseum ay ang pinakamalaking ampiteatro na itinayo sa buong mundo at ang pinakapasyal na bantayog sa Italya.Ang Colosseum ay ang pinakamalaking ampiteatro na itinayo sa buong mundo at ang pinakamaraming dayuhan na bantayog sa Italya.

The leaning tower of Pisa

 Ang bantog na tagilid na tower ay isa sa mga nangungunang akit ng Italya, na kumukuha ng milyun-milyong mga bisita bawat taon upang humanga sa kamangha-manghang, kung nabigo, engineering at maluwalhating arkitektura.

Almafi Coast 

Ang baybaying Amalfi ay isa sa pinakatanyag na patutunguhan ng turista sa buong Italya at kumukuha ng libu-libong mga turista taun-taon.Ang Positano ay madalas na itinuturing na isa sa mga pinaka kaakit-akit na bayan sa baybayin ng Amalfi at madaling makita kung bakit kapag tiningnan mo ang magagandang kulay na mga bahay na nakahiga sa tabi ng bundok.

The Great Canal in Venice

Ito ay isang tanyag na lugar, kung saan maraming magagaling na pelikula ang nakunan ng pelikula at isang magandang lugar para sa mga mahilig din,maaaring kumuha ng isang gondolier at masiyahan sa isang romantikong gabi sa kanal na ito.

3.  NEW YORK CITY

Ang New York ay ang pinaka-magkakaibang etniko, magkakaiba sa relihiyon, iba ang hinihimok ng komersyo, sikat na masikip, at, sa mata ng marami, ang pinaka kaakit-akit na sentro ng lunsod sa bansa.Sa nagdaang dalawang siglo, ang New York ay ang pinakamalaki at pinakamayamang lungsod sa Amerika.

Statue of Liberty

Ang pagbisita sa Statue of Liberty ay napakapopular sa mga manlalakbay na darating sa New York City. Lalo na sa tag-araw, maaaring mangahulugan ito ng mahabang paghihintay para sa lantsa, ngunit sa mga tip at payo sa tagaloob, maaari mong makatipid ng oras sa iyong sarili at masulit ang iyong pagbisita sa Statue of Liberty.

New York Time Square

 Ang Times Square ay isa sa mga pinakamagandang lugar upang maupuan at panoorin ang pagmamadali sa buong mundo. Tuwing gabi mula 11:57 hanggang hatinggabi, maaari mong masaksihan ang pinakamalaking digital art exhibit sa buong mundo. Bukas ang Times Square nang 24 na oras. Naalala ko ang masasayang araw nila Luna at Kalix. Sanaol.

Empire State  Building

Ang gusali ng Empire State Building ay isang 102 palapag na iconic na art deco skyscraper na nakatayo sa New York City. Walang paglilibot sa New York ang maaaring kumpleto nang hindi binibisita ang gusaling ito ng estado ng imperyo. Ang gusaling ito ay ang pinakamataas sa buong mundo sa loob ng 40 taon mula nang itayo noong 1931. Kapansin-pansin ang tanawin mula sa ika-86 palapag na deck ng pagmamasid. Hindi lamang ikaw ang magpapasya na bisitahin, kaya maghanda kang maghintay sa linya. 

Fifth Avenue

Isa sa pinakatanyag na mga lansangan sa pamimili sa Amerika, ang Fifth Avenue ay ang pangunahing lugar ng pamimili sa New York, kung saan maraming mga nangungunang taga-disenyo ang mayroong mga pangunahing tindahan. 

San Francisco Bridge

Tayo nat maglakbay sa napakahabang Golden Bridge sakay ang ating rocket ship. Sa pagitan ng San Francisco Bay at Marin County ay ang tanyag na Golden Gate Bridge sa buong mundo. Ang tulay ay idineklara na isa sa mga makabagong kababalaghan ng mundo.

RIDE A CABLE CAR

Titiyakin kung makakasakay ako sa huling sistema ng manu-manong pagpapatakbo ng cable car sa buong mundo. Mahigit sa 100 taong gulang, ang mga linya ng cable car na nananatili ay naging isang institusyon at maging isang 'karapatan ng daanan' para sa mga bisita sa lungsod.

4. LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA

Maligayang pagdating sa Los Angeles! Ang lupain ng mga puno ng palad na mataas sa langit, maaraw na temperatura at lahat ng iyong mga paboritong kilalang tao. Sapagkat napakaraming magagawa sa hindi kapani-paniwala na lungsod na ito, hindi mo asahan na i-cross ang lahat sa iyong listahan ng dapat gawin sa isang paglalakbay. Ang LA ay isang malawak na metropolis at tumatagal ng ilang sandali upang makarating sa bawat lugar. Sa nasabing iyon, inirerekumenda ko ang paglikha ng isang listahan ng mga hotspot na hindi ka mabubuhay nang hindi mo nakikita at mama-map ang mga ito ayon sa lokasyon. Upang matulungan kang gawin iyon, narito ang ilang mga paborito kong pagkakataon sa larawan sa Los Angeles, California.

Angkop na ang Hollywood Sign, ang pandaigdigan na simbolo ng industriya ng aliwan, ay naisip bilang isang panlabas na kampanya para sa isang suburban na pagpapaunlad ng pabahay na tinatawag na "Hollywoodland." Pagkatapos ng lahat, sa kabila ng mataas na profile ng biz ng pelikula, ang real estate ay palaging pangunahing driver ng pang-ekonomiya sa Hollywood.

UNIVERSAL STUDIOS HOLLYWOOD

Ang Universal Studios Hollywood  ay ang tanging tunay, gumaganang studio ng pelikula at parkeng may tema sa buong mundo. Ito ay mas maraming hindi ma-miss para sa mga bisita dahil ito ay isang tanyag na atraksyon, 

THE BEVERLY HILLS HOTEL

Ang Beverly Hills Hotel ay isa sa mga pinakatanyag, iconic na pag-aari sa buong bansa. Matatagpuan sa California, ang nakamamanghang Pink Palace ng kasiyahan at pagtataka ay ang lahat ng uri ng sikat na tahanan ng mga tao na malayo sa bahay. Ang sinumang sinumang nasa industriya ng aliwan ay nanatili dito, kumain dito o makisalo dito. Hays kailan kaya?

HOLLYWOOD BOULEVARD

Sa Los Angeles lamang natin maaari makita ang mg iniidolo sa larangan ng pelikula at maaring silang matagpuan sa sidewalk. Ang mga atraksyon sa Hollywood ay malapit na nauugnay sa industriya ng pelikula at ang kaakit-akit na screen ng pilak. Ang karatula ng Hollywood sign, Hollywood Boulevard, Walk of Fame, at Chinese Theatre ay madaling punan ang isang araw o dalawa ng pamamasyal. Kung ikaw ay mapalad, maaari mo ring makita ang isang tanyag o dalawa. Baka dito kona makikita future star ng buhay ko huhu.

PALM TREE LINED STREETS in Beverly Hills

Ipapaalala sa iyo ng kalyeng ito ang pambungad na eksena ng The Beverly Hillbillies, kasama ang pamilyang Clampett na nagdadala sa kanila sa kanilang masamang kotse.

SANTA MONICA PIER

Ang Santa Monica Pier ay isa sa mga pinakunan ng pelikulang lokasyon sa Los Angeles at naka-star sa daan-daang mga pelikula, music video, komersyal, at palabas sa TV..Ang mga tindahan, kamangha-manghang mga restawran, mga blond beach, at ang tanyag na Santa Monica Pier ay ginagawang natural na pang-akit para sa mga turista at lokal. Ang madaling pag-access sa Beverly Hills at Rodeo Drive ay isang bonus din para sa mga pasyalan.

Wattpad feels lang. Dito din naganap kung saan nagkita sina Jeong Ha at Hye Jun sa kauna-unahang pagkakataon pagkatapos ng fashion weeek sa pelikulang Record of Youth.

N Seoul Tower / Namsan Tower

Matatagpuan ang N Seoul Tower sa tuktok ng pinakamataas na bundok ng Namsan ng Seoul. Mula dito mayroon kang isang kamangha-manghang tanawin sa buong lungsod - syempre sa isang malinaw na araw. OPPAAAA ASAN NA KAYOOO?!! LEE MIN HO?

Jumunjin Beach, Gangneung

Ang eksenang epiko kung saan hindi sinasadya na ipatawag ni Eun Tak si Kim Shin (The Goblin) na kinunan sa Jumunjin Breakwater. Ito ay isang tanyag na eksena na gusto ng mga tagahanga na muling likhain, pababa sa iconic na pulang scarf at isang simpleng bulaklak na bulaklak sa kamay.

 Jageun Maeul

Bok Chicken in Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo. Pag ako nakapunta dito kakain ako ng marami, kasing dami ng kinakain ni bok jo pag umuuwi siya dito hihi.

E-World, Daegu

Dito naganap first date nila bok joo at joon hyung sa pelikulang weightlifting fairy. Namlee parin malakas!! Ang E-World ay ang parke ng tema na pumapaligid sa Woobang Tower - ang pinaka-kapansin-pansin na tampok ng Daegu skyline.

Yongsan-gu, Seoul — Itaewon

Ang Itaewon ay naiiba mula sa iba pang mga bahagi ng Seoul dahil ipinadarama mo na nasa ibang bansa ka. Ang dating distrito ng distrito ay kilala na ngayon bilang isang "Western Town". Dito halos lahat kinunan ang pelikulang Itaewon Class.

JEONJU HANOK VILLAGE

Ang isa pang nangungunang magagandang spot sa South Korea ay ang Jeonju. Matatagpuan sa kanlurang bahagi ng Korea, ito ang kabiserang lungsod ng Hilagang Jeolla Province at ang pangalan nito ay nangangahulugang "perpektong rehiyon."

NAMI ISLAND

Ang Namisieum o "Nami" na isla ay isang isla na matatagpuan sa Chuncheon, Korea at nasa tuktok ng listahan para sa mga lugar na maaaring puntahan sa Korea. Mayroong isang napakarilag na landas na may linya na redwood na mukhang kamangha-manghang. Sa palagay ko si Nami ay mukhang kapansin-pansin sa taglagas, ngunit ito ay tunay na isang magandang lugar upang bisitahin ang anumang oras ng taon. Ang isla na ito ay sikat sa pagiging lokasyon ng pelikula para sa drama sa Korea na Winter Sonata.
