Picking trends from Spring/Summer 2021 Fashion Week. For my final trend I chose the ‘Candy’ look shown in the series of images above. Image 1 and Image 2 - shows catwalk looks from Chanel’s Ready-to-wear collection for Paris SS21. Image 3 - shows catwalk look from Chloe’s Ready-to-wear collection for Paris SS21. Image 4 - shows catwalk look from Prada’s Ready-to-wear collection for Paris SS21. In Vogues words: “Candy is at the head of the pack of this season’s trends. Sugary candy tones from cherry to raspberry bring some rose-tinted energy to summer.” Again this is not a trend based on the actual garment itself but the colour of it. Not only do I adore the bright bold aspects of the ‘candy’ pink coloured garments, but it shows connotations from the 1960′s hippie era where men and women would wear bright coloured t-shirts with peace logos and quotes on them. Furthermore, this is one of my favourite trends as it gives a happy outlook on life. 5 Istilah Fashion Wajib Tahu

Industri mode memiliki segudang makna dengan istilah asing yang sering disebutkan. Tak ayal masih banyak yang sering salah pemahaman, bahkan  sukar dimengerti artinya. Pada dunia fashion sangatlah luas, hal tersebut pula sering dijumpai kata-kata yang tidak akrab ditelinga. Hal ini juga turut saya rasakan saat awal nyemplung pada industri mode. 

Anyway, berikut beberapa istilah fashion yang wajib diketahui oleh para fashion enthusiast.

1.FASHION SEASON COLECTION ( Spring/Summer, Fall/Winter)

Sejak dahulu hingga kini, pusat perkembangan fashion masih berporos di negara bagian barat. Kerena Negara bagian barat memiliki empat musim, maka tren busana masih mengikuti kebutuhan pakaian masyarakat di sana. Setiap tahun, pasti akan dihelat dua pagelaran fashion yaitu Spring/Summer dan Fall/Winter. Berbagai label busana meluncurkan koleksi terbarunya mewakili musim tersebut.

Pada koleksi musim Spring/Summer, busana yang dipamerkan terbuat dari material ringan dan nyaman untuk cuaca di musim tersebut. Nuansa ceria yang playfull akan banyak hadirkan lewat warna-warna terang

Lalu untuk koleksi Fall/Winter material yang digunakan lebih berat atau tebal. Fashion pada musim ini kerap dibutuhkan pada saat musim dingin. Penggunaan warna yang dipilih oleh para designer biasa bernuansa gelap.

Ada juga nih koleksi transisi antara kedua musim ini. Biasanya beberapa desainer mengeluarkan semacam mini koleksi sebagai sneak peek bocoran edisi selanjutnya.Pada koleksi ini label tersebut akan meluncurkan koleksi Resort atau juga Pre Fall.

2. RESORT WEAR /CRUISE WEAR

Kolesi ini Resort wear atau sebutan lainnya cruise wear ini hadir diantara transisi dari dua pagelaran fashion season colection. Busana yang diluncurkan mengarah pada edisi liburan, khususnya ke tempat hangat. Maka dari itu resort collection akan banyak ditemukan busana yang tipis atau pakaian renang. Bisa dibilang hampir menyerupai koleksi dari summer season.

3. HOUTE COUTURE

Ini merupakan jenis busana mewah yang dirancang dengan teknik khusus. Koleksi rancangan ini berlevel tinggi karena material yang dipakai sangatlah istimewa. Ada banyak detil hiasan khusus yang hanya ada pada koleksi itu saja. Maka dari itu busana ini sering dijuluki high dress making. Karena dibuat secara khusus berdasarkan pemesanan klien, maka menjadikannya begitu ekseklusif dan spesial.

4.READY TO WEAR

Di Prancis biasa disebut Pret a porter yang artinya koleksi siap pakai. Busana jenis ini diproduksi secara masal dengan berbagai stok ukuran standar. Jadi siapapun dengan mudah bisa memilih busana tersebut dengan variasi ukuran atau bahkan warna.

5.FASHION DU JOUR

 Fashion du jour alias fashion of the day  atau tren fashion. Jadi kata ini bisa diartikan sebagai pakaian apa yang sedang populer saat ini. Atau fashion apa yang sedang ramai gandrungi.
