Hmm...really want to write soft things with Neuvillette. Him never having been embraced and held carefully and lovingly by someone that only wishes to bring him comfort in between trials and his endlessly busy schedule, assuming it's something wholly unnecessary as he's functioned like this for hundreds of years, and yet finding himself relaxing in your hold while he lays his head on your chest. It's soothing to him in a way he didn't think it would be; your heartbeat is a melody to him just as calming as the lull of the sea.

And if you notice that the rains from earlier have suddenly ceased and left the evening skies clear...just chalk it up to coincidence for now
