#Don't recommend Nexus mods because console can't use them

I need a poet shirt mod for Skyrim on console for reasons. 👀

because i'm seeing a lot of people talk about it: it is possible to downpatch your skyrim and keep your mods.

there are multiple ways to do this, assuming you launch through steam.

the way i personally used to keep 1.16.3 or whatever was through the steam console to specifically launch that version of the game. i used this reddit post to do so.

you can also use one of the downpatchers on nexus. i can't personally recommend any (because i don't use them), but this one seems alright. you want one with documentation that has been updated recently.

make sure that you know which version of the game your mods are for and whether you're running LE, SE, or AE.
