After I saw Andy C in 2018 they closed beta nightclub where he performed and the next time I was able to see him was at EDC, which is a massive expensive music festival most ppl cannot realistically attend.

Americans mostly do not know about or care for DnB. Once it was no longer used in anime (as a way to keep it alive) interest in DnB plummeted. So seeing 15-19 year olds like it on social media and on YouTube makes me feel happy and that’s why I said “nature is healing”

De nos jours, les réseaux sociaux proposent du contenu qui favorise grandement l’exposition de soi en ligne. En effet, les plateformes numériques comme Instagram et Tik Tok suggèrent aux internautes des modèles masculins et féminins, connu sous la communauté des influenceurs.

En temps normal, « le profil de l’influenceur participe à la production de nouveaux biens informationnels ». J’ai observé sur les réseaux sociaux, qu’il tente, dans l’idéal, de promouvoir le bien-être, la diversité corporelle, l’ouverture d’esprit, et ce, par « la mise en scène de soi sur les réseaux sociaux ». L’objectif de l’influenceur est clair : il s’agit de proposer, sur les réseaux sociaux, un espace public basé sur ses expériences personnelles, et ce, tout en demeurant authentique. Aux yeux des internautes, l’influenceur est un exemple de la perfection. Il est beau, drôle et authentique. L’envie d’adopter son mode de vie ainsi que leur manière de pensée et d’agir est instantanée. Pourtant, j’ai toujours douté de ce rôle et je n’ai jamais adhéré à leur effet.

Cependant, au fil du temps, je suis d’avis que la crédibilité de l’image de ses influenceurs s’est accentuée. Il semble ne plus s’agir d’une simple plateforme où l’un y expose son mode de vie afin de divertir les gens. Aujourd’hui, les influenceurs se donnent corps et âme à la production de leur contenu. En faisant la tournée de quelques comptes Instagram, j'ai constaté qu’être un créateur de contenu est maintenant un réel métier. Un article de Sophie Allard confirme mon point. En effet, elle explique que plusieurs entreprises font maintenant recours aux leaders d’opinion afin de promouvoir un produit. Au Québec, le marketing d’influence connaît un élan de popularité depuis 2018. Il s’agit d’une combinaison « de professionnalisation et d’éditorialisation des contenus » où l’émergence d’un engagement commercial et communicationnel par les influenceurs prend place.

D’ailleurs, l’émission Occupation Double encourage grandement la relève des influenceurs.  À ce jour, plusieurs anciens candidats détiennent le fameux titre à temps plein et dénichent sans cesse des contrats avec des entreprises québécoises, comme Alanis Desilets.
