I'm not proud of this. (But I did FINALLY get my posts dashboard to scroll far enough to unprivate this post to fix the link -clearing my cache a few times seems to have done the trick in getting it scroll far enough this time)

College AU (Doctorate level) where Ky*ji and Dr. M*kamura start a thing.

Dr. M*kamura is fully aware of who Ky*ji is but Ky*ji has no idea M*kamura is his dad's old coworker and long time friend and lab partner turned bitter enemies.

Rain's mom is alive and divorced M*kamura and Rain took her mom's name, So Ky*ji has no idea that the professor he started fucking is actually his new girlfriend's dad.

M*kamura is of course fucking Ky*ji because he is so incredibly similar to Dr. K*sshu, the man he craved but could never have.

Their relationship deteriorated and imploded so badly that revenge is a potent motivator here also. M*kamura was bitter but mostly alright with one sided pining until a final few explosive arguments about their shared research that got way to personal after turning to insults.

He's had years working at the university and directly with the government on weapons development to cool off but its still a bitter thorn in his heart and mind.

M*kamura of course is absolutely not telling Ky*ji any of this if he can help it.

He'd rather intimidate Ky*ji out of the relationship with his daughter asap before Rain and Ky*ji have enough details between them to connect Dr. M*kamura and Dr. K*sshu as former coworkers and put any pieces together. He should never have agreed to this lunch.

(I imagine that the lab is not in the Kasshu home in this AU to keep things convenient. Also haven't decided if this is a modern AU or a pre-canon AU)
