TMRSS23 Submission Guidelines

Time is flying by! Somehow, we're already down to less than 3 weeks to go until the TMRSS23 submission deadline. The tmrss elves are very much looking forward to all the wonderful gifts to come soon 🎅

🎁 A reminder that all TMRSS23 gifts are due on 8th December! 🎁

Please find below gift submission guidelines. Read the instructions carefully, please, as there are specific details according to gift type. Do let us know if you have any questions or concerns!

For all gifts:

Please send all gifts to: mazerunnersecretsanta@outlook.com Please include the following in your email:

Your tumblr username

Your giftee’s username

Gift title

A short summary of your gift and, where relevant, its storyline (this will be included in the gift post on tumblr)

Any warnings

A special message to your giftee (optional)

Anything else - notes, comments etc. (optional)

If submitting fanfic:

Please upload your fic to the collection on AO3 (found here), and then click on ‘post to collection’ to post your work. Before closing the tab, please copy the URL and include this link to your fic in your email to us. This is very important!!!!!

Please also include the following in your email:

Rating

Word Count (Remember: 2,500 words minimum!)

Link to your fic on AO3

If submitting fanvids, fanart, or gifsets:

If your gift is a fanvid, fanart, or gifset (or anything else that results in files which would be too big to email to us), please upload your gift to a dropbox or file sharing site, then send us an email with the link to your submission so that we can download it and post it on our blog. File names should follow this format: tmrss23_gift_for_username When submitting multiple files: tmrss23_for_username_1of6 etc.

For gifsets, edits and fanart, please also include the following in your email:

Formatting instructions

For fanvids, please also include the following in your email:

Music title/artist(s)

Any shows/clips you’ve used that aren’t from TMR

Please remember to make sure your gift doesn’t contain any clues about your identity!

@pansear-doodles , you strike again, but this time I shall RETALIATE!!

Firstly, I was not expecting something like this from anyone honestly, so thank you so much for the gift!! It's the first time I've ever seen anyone else draw my avatar thing before, but it looks cute in your style! Heck, I think this may be the first time anyone online (besides some Discord friends) has drawn stuff for me, so it's very thoughtful of you!

But this time you won't get away with dropping a drawing in my inbox without me returning the favor! You see, Pansear, I've wanted to draw characters of yours for a while now, and originally I was gonna do it as a Christmas gift, but when I wasn't able to finish in time I thought it may have been too late. BUT NOW you've given me the PERFECT excuse to share it, so...

Here we are! A couple sketches of your anthro Hunter (ft. a very enthusiastic Arti)!

Let me tell you, I've wanted to draw some of your designs for a while now, especially Hunter because your design for them reminds me so much of a fox and wolf and I love those already Plus, anthro anatomy is something I have been pondering for at least a year now, so it's nice to finally get to use it for legitimate art! AND this gave me a chance to practice more digital painting! But I didn't know if you'd find me weird for just randomly sketching your characters one day, so I wanted to wait until I had the proper excuse, which I do now!!

Well, merry (pretty late) Christmas, Pansear! Thanks again for the gift! Hope you like yours! :D

When posting in the AO3 collection, should I put my giftee’s username in the “Gift this work to” space?

Submission Day has now passed, but belated thanks for your question, anon, and for future reference:

This is up to you! Some people choose to gift the fic to their giftee, some people choose not to, and some people choose to do so following the Santa Reveals in January.

If you do use the A03 gift function, then be aware that, if they check their gifts page, your giftee will be able to see that there is a fic waiting there. They won't, however, be able to see the fic itself until we reveal the fic after Christmas, and it will remain anonymous until the Santa Reveals.
