frank doesn’t remember how he got to the hospital. he got the phone call from the hospital and dropped everything he was doing, it has been a long time since frank cared for and loved someone as much as he cares for and loves maya and he can’t stand the thought of losing her. before he knows it, the words are falling from his mouth. he means them - the ring box currently in his car console is proof enough.

“ so don’t pull the ring out and get down on one knee right here, got it.  ” he says it with a wink and a smile as his thumb rubs across the back her hand.

          ‘oh, no one comes back here.’ the library had a surprisingly EXTENSIVE section for out of date discs and tapes, despite very few people being capable of viewing them, so it made a good enough, SECLUDED spot when you wanted to do things besides study such as spend time alone with someone or hide from a dangerous foe wielding a stiletto with a KNIFE instead of a heel. ‘but you’ll still have to be quiet. everything echoes here.’
