kuroo's started walking around with a bag.

not his usual work briefcase, either. this is for his off-time stuff - in the beginning you noticed he only wore it with you, but he must've found convenience in it, because now he brings it every time he's got an outing.

you don't realize what the purpose of it really was until you're in the museum together and your cane breaks - it makes sense, it's your oldest foldable and it wasn't the most sturdy one on the market back when you bought it. you're about to apologize and say you can't continue touring the museum without your cane when he opens his bag and takes out another foldable cane - you realize it's yours a little belatedly, the one you ordered because you expected the broken one to die off soon.

"i carry it around just in case! i noticed your favorite was getting old and feared this might happen - i also have some water and some of your medicine, if you'd like!" he smiles at you and it's not his usual style of mischievous but that doesn't make it any less smaller or brighter. you laugh at him and thank him, feeling tears well up at him being so considerate of your disabilities. you never thought you'd find a man so understanding and so willing to go out of his way to support you - he leans in close to your face, the on-brand smile of his now adoring his face, "if you'd like, i'd accept a thank you kiss," he teases to get you out of your stupor. you swat at his chest with another laugh before giving him a quick peck on the lips, "thank you tetsu, you have no idea how much this means to me."
