scenario : poe and ranpo are like an 'unofficial' thing and they're out on a 'date' when they just find some kid alone at the park. no family. no friends. they seem to know this but not mind it. they aren't super dirty or matted - just a normal amount for a kid. somehow,, they catch the twos eye. maybe they were reading some mystery book that poe derived inspiration from,, or maybe they were eating sweets and gave one to ranpo when they spotted him eyeing them. somehow someway, these two suddenly get attached to this random abandoned kid!darling and they're like 'we yo dads now'

Y!P!Poe who is so. damn. anxious. no you can't go out past ten p.m what is there's evil people outside?!?!?!? what if you get kidnapped or shot??!! no he's not being paranoid he just loves you!! he's your dad afterall!!! is it illegal to care for his child now?@?@?-,,# (he gaslights his kid!darling into staying w him and does feel bad, but it's quickly washed away when he has so much time w only you and ranpo. it fuels him to do it even more...)

Y!P!Ranpo who's that laid back father until you try to go out and be independent. like. no??? you're HIS kid??? who said you could try and live your own life??? probably manipulates you into thinking you need him and Poe, and sometimes if he needs to, he uses your insecurities against you to keep you stuck inside. he only feels bad if he makes you cry with the insecurities part but like. he didn't say it DIRECTLY !! it's not COMPLETELY his fault !! comforts you later even though he (totally was) wasn't the reason you were sobbing. like shh it's ok. dad's here,, he's one of the only two (poe) people who love. it's okay, you can just stay with him forever... and ever.... and ever.......
