WWWY fest quietly adding female fronted bands to the lineup without acknowledging the very justified backlash they received is soooo
#like yeah sure whatever they added some women but why weren't they there in the first place#also this festival still seems like such a logistical nightmare#like they already had 53 bands set to play full albums in one day and now they've added I think 4 more#I do not see how this festival isn't going to have crazy set overlap#I get the hype for the nostalgia and everything but just being real this festival has such bad vibes#idk festivals in general are bad at incorporating women and POC but WWWY is like particularly bad at it#I can't get over the fact that they haven't even made a post about the added bands#they've reposted the posts that a couple of the bands made to their story but haven't made an official post#they only added women to the lineup after a ton of backlash and now they're making said women do all of the promotion for themselves#it really rubs me the wrong way#ashley rambles#when we were young fest
