So, I’m blocked by a decent sized chunk of people in the BtVS fandom, and I’m guessing most of it is from that whole willow-thing... what, was that... only six months ago? Huh. Feels longer.

Anyway, I’m not that upset over most of the blocks - sure, it’s annoying when I try to reblog a gifset or a meta and find out I can’t because the OP blocked me, but most of the good gifset makers haven’t blocked me and most of the metas from people who have blocked me, I don’t agree enough with to reblog. So, overall, whatever. I’d rather not be blocked, but *shrug*. Not the end of the world, not gonna try and make a big thing out of it, bar the occasional annoyed vagueblog.

But there is one person who I really wish wasn’t blocking me and that I really wish I could sit down and have a conversation with them about the blocking, and maybe see it end. Sulietsexual.

She blocked me about a bazillion years ago - early in my time in the BtVS fandom here on Tumblr - over a very brief (and as far as I recall) argument about Not Fade Away. I responded to her, she responded to me (and then blocked me without allowing me to reply - which, yeah). 

And the thing is, apart from the subject of Not Fade Away and Wesley (she hates him, I... well, he’s my second favorite Buffyverse character :P ), we seem to agree on a hell of a lot of things (I keep seeing her metas on other blogs, because a - @sunnydale-digest is an amazing gift to this fandom, and b - she’s clearly something of a big name fan here on Tumblr, so lots of people reblog her content.)

I mean, on the subjects of Xandelia, Kate Lockley, several elements of AtS and more (I have many times, seen one of her metas about this, that or the other thing and nodding along for at least 75% of the post). While I don’t share her specific vehemence on say, Spike and Spuffy, I do agree with some of the broad outlines of what she has to say on the subject, and some of the specifics. 

So there’s quite a lot of content she produces I’d love to reblog, and the disagreement that led to this was so minor that it should be a reconciable gap. To my mind, anyway.

Now, I did block her at one point, because I got tired of her continuously reblogging my posts (sometimes with commentary) even after I made several posts expressing a desire she didn’t (even if it is unlikely that she ever saw them, I’ll have to grant), since I couldn’t reblog hers, but I unblocked her a while ago, since I try to keep my block list both small (not counting porn/spam blogs) and dedicated only to the truly awful or insanely obnoxious (not counting porn/spam blogs), neither of which she qualifies as.

And really, while I don’t expect anything to come of it (or it to happen at all), I’d really like to be able to have a talk with her about the block and see if I can convince her to undo it.

On the off chance anyone who follows me is friendly with her, I wouldn’t say no to someone passing the message onto her ( :P ) But I’m not asking or expecting anyone to. If someone wants to, please do, but if you don’t feel like it or don’t want to play fandom ambassador or whatever, don’t. 

I’m mostly just using my own blog to have my own, perhaps vaguely whiney, little post.
