#I'll also do some patches on the inside of the bear to reinforce those stressed seam intersections

So idk yet if I’ll have permission from the teddy bear’s people to post pictures of it* but I have my neighbor’s teddy bear and it turns out it’s an easier fix than I thought! The seams aren’t ripping, but the bear was made poseable with button joints and the fishing line they used to do that kept ripping through the fabric. I have permission from the owner to remove it, make it not poseable, and to re-sew all the handsewn parts of the bear. The machine sewn parts show the fabric can handle being sewn just fine, but the hand sewn parts had the stitching up to a 1/2″ between stitches and that was too far apart for the fabric. There are also two small seam intersections I’ll reinforce, but it’s better than having to make a second fabric bear to put inside the first bear to reinforce everything, like I thought I’d have to lol *I know I probably could anyway, but it’s a memory bear, so I want to be extra careful with it, you know?
