“we need more m/f friendships in media that stay platonic due to heteronormativity that’s rooted in homophobia/aphobia plus women and men can actually be good friends without romance” and “having m/f romances aren’t inherently bad especially if the people involved are fat, disabled, neurodivergent, and/or people of color because queer people aren’t the only marginalized group that need to be represented” are two statements that can and should coexist.

#I'm a queer Latina so don't come at me with bigoted BS #but yeah it BAFFLES me when I see white gays acting as if the only good romance involves mlm or wlw #plus not all wlw or mlm pairing are good! and not all m/f pairings are bad!#and vice versa!#plus some hate for m/f pairings IS ROOTED IN BIPHOBIA AND RACISM AND FATPHOBIA OR EVEN ABLEISM #PLUS M/F PAIRINGS THAT HAVE OTHER MINORITES INVOLVED AREN'T THE ONLY ONES HATED ON!#I've seen wlw and mlm pairings that involve poc or disabled people or fat people be looked down upon as well #so shut tf up with your racism and other bigotries!#btw this isn't aimed at any specific fandom because I think every fandom can get this toxic #and no you don't have to like every pairing that involve minorites regardless of the character's genders but just don't be a bigot about it #fandom salt #queerphobia #fandom racism #ableism #fatphobia
