You had become accustomed to staying over at J’s and frequently having sex together. You both had not defined the relationship, yet you had no interest it was just all for fun.

Tonight was another night at J’s. He expected you there when he got home; not in a bad way he just liked seeing you after a long day.

You had run to the gas station down the street to pick up a pregnancy test. You had been getting morning sickness and a bunch of other symptoms you recognized from your friends.

It scared the living daylights out of you- having a baby with J. One, you barely knew him and two, he was The Joker for crying out loud.

When you got back to his place, you took the pregnancy test and waited. Just as the time was about to end; J announced loudly, “Honey, I’m home!”

You swore under your breath and shoved the test in the box and into your makeup bag you kept at his.

You emerged from the bathroom and smiled at him; guilt slammed you in the gut. J could tell, “What’s the matter, doll?” He purred and got close to you.

“Just upset stomach, nothing big.” You lied through your teeth; you hated lying, but especially to him. You just didn’t want to place this burden on him.

You just needed to find time to sneak in the bathroom and look at the test. Then everything would be okay you were hoping.

The night went on with you and J chatting about his day; normally the details enthralled you, but today your mind was elsewhere.

When J was finally asleep, you snuck out of bed to the bathroom. You didn’t have sex tonight as he could feel something was off and didn’t want to make it worse.

You were domesticating him.

You pulled the test out and your stomach sunk: it was positive. You and J’s relationship was over. He would never want a baby.

You slowly grabbed your things and scribbled a note, ‘Sorry baby. X’ You truly were sorry. You were starting to fall for this crazy man and everything was crashing down.

You weeped quietly as you walked down the street.

J POV

J sleepily rolled around the bed searching for Y/N’s soft body. She wasn’t there. He stood up and walked to the bathroom hoping you weren’t gone. That was when he saw the note; his mind went into overdrive. She had left him.

He ran out of the house with no shoes on or a shirt. He didn’t care; he just had to find her. It was the middle of the night.

J weaved in and out of streets, shouting her name.

You were nursing your soda when you saw a man running down the street yelling your name: it was J. You immediately leapt out of your seat, forgetting the current problem and ran after him.

“J.” You shouted, he turned around abruptly as soon as he heard your voice. J ran to you, faster than you had ever seen him run before.

“You left me baby.” He said, grabbing and pulling you into his arms protectively, as if he never wanted to let you go again.

You sighed and pushed away, “I’m pregnant.” You winced for a second, thinking he was going to yell or lash out, but he didn’t.

He laughed and spun you in the air, “We’re gonna be a family.” You were surprised from his reaction; you were not expecting this at the very least.

“You’re not mad?” You asked meekly, looking up through your eyelashes.

“Of course not darling. I’m happier than ever.” He smiled and placed a kiss on your lips. “Now let's get you home.” He picked you up again and twirled around. You melted, happily into his arms as he carried you home.
