#Just thinking more about Copperhead's biology though

Copperhead is Solenoglyphous, meaning his fangs are retractable. Most of the time, they're neatly folded out of the way so that he doesn't bite himself (or anybody else he'd prefer not to harm) but all his fangs are incredibly sharp, his rear fangs being even thicker than the prominent strikers up front. Regarding his toxin, Copperhead's venom is unique, being highly acidic so even a spray can cause corrosive damage against unprotected eyes and flesh.

"Cold? Yes, but winter in Gotham is no more fatal to me than it is to anybody else." Copperhead replied softly, his unblinking gaze fixated on the woman's face as though searching for answers of his own. He wasn't trying to intimidate her exactly; besides, something told him that would probably be hard to do, but he wasn't in the habit of giving anything more than obvious answers, preferring others remained in the dark regarding his biology. Perhaps he could indulge her curiosity. People often were about him, thinking he was just like a snake and unable to handle a slight chill. Svelte lips curved into a thin smile, revealing fangs and a flickering tongue that tasted the air. "Besides, a warm corner is never far away as long as you know where to look."
