TED Talks 4 title: The bacterial solution to plastic pollution
Plastic-eating bacteria is not a cure-all
Many wonder about the reason for the large number of the plastic in the areas in which they live, while others assert that plastic has many damages to their environment. The reason is due to the large number of plastic production around the world, as researchers have estimated that by 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish.
Morgan said that the researchers estimated that it could take between 500 and 5000 years for plastic to fully degrade, and this matter leads to harmful chemical pollutants seeping into our oceans, our soil, our food, our water, and into us. So why is plastic produced with knowledge of its harmfulness? This is what Morgan proposed and answered by saying: Plastic is cheap, durable, adaptable and ubiquitous.
After doing a lot of research, Morgan discovered that there is something else that is cheap, durable and adaptable and everywhere, bacteria are microscopic creatures that cannot be seen with the naked eye and live everywhere, in various varied and harsh environments, and can cope with various temperatures. These bacteria may be the solution for the Plastic problems.
In Houston, Texas, USA, Morgan was able to prove that bacteria are able to break down the plastic, by sorting the lipase enzyme that helps the bacteria break down the plastic into small parts of sugar, and then digest it, so this indicates that the plastic is transforming from a long-term contaminant, Big and strong to a delicious meal for bacteria.
Many wonder about the existence of complications or side problems in Morgan’s solution, but she confirmed that these bacteria are normal and have not been genetically treated, but the process of analyzing plastic by bacteria is slow, especially since the plastic is strong and durable, so what is the solution to speed up the process of analyzing the plastic?
Morgan Vague exposes plastics to a series of ultraviolet (sunlight) treatments, when the heat is high at noon, that make the large, strong and durable plastic bonds a little thinner and a little lighter so that bacteria can chew them. Morgan finished with the phrase "plastic-eating bacteria aren't a cure-all," which means that it doesn't end the plastic pollution problem, but it can help alleviate the problem.

Headline: Heavy rain flood
The Heavy rains associated with the low pressure system "Bernd" cause severe flooding, particularly in the German states North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate, as well as in Luxembourg, and along the river Meuse and some of its tributaries in Belgium and the Netherlands. The flooding killed at least 184 people in Germany and 38 in Belgium. This flood is rare and estimated to be 500 years’ event. Also the climate change increased the power of the rainfall by about 3-19%. However significant damage was caused to the infrastructure, including homes, highways and main sources of income, which led to the evacuation of some areas. The worst affected areas were around the rivers Ahr, Erft and Meuse. In Germany and Belgium 222 people were killed by the flood. Also the precipitation data showed that the most country had more damage is Luxembourg according to the Deutscher Wetterdints website. These floods led to disturbances in river drainage and water levels. Hydrological monitoring systems were also destroyed during this flood, and accurate data is not available. Some scientists from France, Belgium and Germany made extensive analyzes of this flood and the places where something could happen, such as Western Europe, the northern Alps and the Netherlands, which may occur in one of these places after 400 years, and this confirms the rarity of this flood. In a climate 2 °C warmer than in preindustrial time's models suggest that the intensity of a 1-day event would increase by a further 0.8-6% and the likelihood by a factor of 1.2-1.4. The increase is again similar for the 2-day event. The floods that occurred in July2021 caused severe damage and deaths. However, it is necessary to look at these events that may recur and study how to reduce their damage and avoid them in the future.

Problems affecting children and women in Asia
Many children and women in Asia suffer from many risks, and there are many reasons why children and women are at risk in Asia, including political problems, natural disasters, high fuel prices, high food prices in some cities, and the spread of disease. Myanmar was devastated by Cyclone Nargis in 2013, destroying buildings, hospitals and schools. Many people in Myanmar were affected by the cyclone, many people died including children and women, some children got sick, starved, homeless, and some children developed psychological problems.
A 7.8-magnitude earthquake destroyed many homes in a city in China. This earthquake also destroyed hospitals, roads and many buildings and many people were panicked and shocked. Many children were affected by the earthquake in China, as most of them were studying in schools at the time of the earthquake. Countries on the Pacific seismic belt are among the most earthquake-prone. India, Pakistan and Nepal are subjected to waves of cyclones and monsoons, and the Philippines, Vietnam and other countries are subjected to many floods that cause many problems, including people becoming homeless.
Every day, political conflicts in Asia are increasing, and security problems are increasing in many Asian countries, including Afghanistan and Sri Lanka. There are political problems in Pakistan that have made it difficult to access some areas and this greatly affects women and children because they will not be able to get basic services that keep them healthy.
Under-five mortality has risen in South Asia, where 78 out of every 1,000 children die. Some children suffer from malnutrition and poverty, which leads to difficulty in obtaining food because of its high cost. Diseases such as influenza, measles and cholera afflict the population of Asia, and cholera has spread to some areas and caused an emergency.

URl: Report on Homelessness (azureedge.net)
What if the phenomenon of homelessness continues!
The phenomenon of homelessness has always been present in a lot of regions and in various societies, including Scotland, where their percentage has increased recently, according to the reports of the government committee. According to the statistics, they all agreed on the multiple causes and factors of homelessness, but the biggest factor contributing to the expansion of homeless people in Scotland is the breakdown of the relationship with the partner or family, in addition to many other miscellaneous issues.
The approach taken by the Scottish government through its endeavor to implement and practice many activities to prevent homelessness had great impact in reducing the emergence of the problem to some extent, as many sources indicated that the government had developed "housing options" which would focus on exploring housing options and one of the the most important of these options, as indicated by the government spokesperson, is housing advice along with health and budget advice.
On the other hand, the Scottish government called for the need to be aware of the aspects of the rights of the homeless and thus made special services available through which these people can access the required knowledge, in addition to address the humanitarian issues they face. These services provide specialized support to ensure the rights of the homeless and provide the necessary care. The government committee also praised the decision of the aid organization’s approval Women's organizations to protect women who have been subjected to violence and homelessness, as these organizations guarantee protection, welfare, health and provide the necessary education.
According to its official reports, the press teams of the Committee organized live interviews with many displaced persons and got acquainted directly with the most important causes of displacement, in an attempt to eliminate the roots of the problem and organize the most appropriate solutions.
