#soon and # marsiscoming are part of the problem with the new album. Generally when I tell my kids ‘soon’ I mean in the next few minutes or for something like a trip 'soon’ means within a week or so. #soon in JL’s lingo is 2 yrs or so. 

#marsiscoming should have been rolled out 6 mos ago and not the almost 2 yrs that we have been subjected to this.

4-5 yrs between albums is pretty normal in the record industry but usually bands don’t start hyping an album until they are in the final stages of banging the album out. This 2 yrs of hype is just exhausting and irritating to the fanbase.

People actually comment on IG, TW etc about the amt of time it has taken, like snarky comments dude, so others feel the same way.

Another issue with the album and people’s fear level concerning it, is the whole 'rock is dead’ aspect and the EDM fear levels. Is it a sexual album? A yay America album? Is it LLFD 2.0? Will it be the Mars people know and love or some great huge leap of a departure? 

I don’t have any issue with the guys working in separate cities, other bands do it all the time and crank out music left and right. They could make an album with all of them on separate planets and it would all be fine. I think the fear rises though when members are left out of promo footage…even if you are recording in separate cities at least make your promo clip appear as if you are still on speaking terms.

I love music, I can’t spend a day without some sort of music playing in my house, car or head phones, so I will give it a listen. And since I do listen to a wide variety of music I see firsthand how different bands or artists promote their work and right now Mars is falling behind everyone in that aspect.

@slowlysillytraveler - Yep, even just the fact that he keeps going on and on about the album coming out “sooner than you think” without giving ANY details about WHEN that “sooner” might be, and adding to that the fact that he has been yapping about that same shit for 2 years now...

I for one just no longer even care.

The album could come out tomorrow or next month or even 9 months from now - I really am struggling to find the motivation to care at this point.
