msleamichele: In 1995, an eight-year-old girl auditioned for Les Miserables as a joke with a friend. A week later, she made her debut on Broadway. The rest, as they say, is history. There have been a plethora of ups and downs, lessons learned, heartbreaks, mistakes, and successes. Tonight, I take my final bow as Fanny Brice as well as what’s likely to be my final bow in entertainment. Leaving the business I’ve been in for 30 years is terrifying. But, I couldn’t be more excited for this new adventure. It’s time to let Lea Michele rest and allow Lea Sarfati time to find herself. Thank you ALL for your love and support through the years. None of this could have happened without you. I’ll cherish our journey forever.

GISELLE | BALLET NATIONAL D'UKRAINE | DERNIÈRE RÉVÉRENCE

Hier soir, le rideau de « Giselle » s’est baissé pour la dernière fois. Cette 17e et dernière représentation, donnée à guichet fermé, clôturait 3 semaines de moments inoubliables. Plus que de simples représentations d’un ballet classique iconique, ces 3 semaines représentent une aventure humaine bouleversante. Le Ballet national de l’Opéra d’Ukraine et l’Orchestre Prométhée ont démontré que la culture et le spectacle transcendaient les guerres et les frontières, que le ballet transcende aussi bien les corps que les âmes.

Merci à cette troupe incroyable, et à ce bel orchestre, qui ont portés ces 17 représentations sans faiblir ; merci aux équipes administratives et techniques du  Théâtre des Champs-Elysées qui nous ont accompagné avec ferveur dans cette production ; et merci au public d’avoir répondu présent en si grand nombre et avec tant d’enthousiasme.

L’équipe des Productions Sarfati fait ce métier par passion. Passion de l’art et passion de l’homme. Ces représentations de « Giselle » sacralisent tout ce pour quoi nous nous engageons chaque jour. Nous sommes tellement fiers de cette aventure hors normes. C’est le cœur lourd que nous laissons la troupe repartir aujourd’hui. Mais ces moments resteront, à tout jamais, gravés dans nos cœurs…
