Headcanon Dump ; Seph

seph confuses monsters when she goes on land, because she smells like the sea, yet she’s a child of hades. seph loves it, because sometimes they wonder, and she uses the distraction to send them back to the pit

unknown to seph, she actually went into a death trance upon hitting her head. her body, upon realising she was safe, released her from the trance. this death trance was different from the one nico was in. her body decided it needed to act as if it were dead until it felt safe enough to give seph breath, but if seph never felt safe - she would have died in the long run.

seph and triton have a sibling like relationship. they bicker like siblings, but would have each others backs in a fight. they clash at times with their ways of trying and defeating the monsters.

while granted a mortal like life, she is in fact, still immortal for you can’t take away someone’s immortality. but, she can die - and will go to the underworld in her death.

she is also, allowed to return to the sea, whenever she wants.

if you don’t think that seph pretends that she can’t hear you if you are saying something she doesn’t agree with, you’re wrong. it took people a long time to realise that she was deaf in her left ear and they were on either her right side or in front of her. and that she was totally aware of what they were saying ( unless of course they were actually on her left side ). triton was her main target with this.

sometimes people try and sneak up on her, coming in from her left side, but she’s adjusted to it, especially underwater. the water would ripple just slightly and she’d end up catching them off guard. on land, she uses the feel of the ground to tell if an attacker is coming in from behind

all those in poseidon’s domain has suspensions on who seph’s father was, but seeing as seph doesn’t know, nor has hades claimed her, they keep their mouth shut.

seph is able to raise the dead who have fallen at sea, she can find lost treasures at sea too. if the battle they are facing is too big, she would call upon the dead around ( including animals ) to help them to win, if she didn’t put them back quick enough, they ended up needing to fight them

a hellhound that could breathe underwater would be seph’s dream, after her first encounter with one ( before zeus blasted it ), she loved them

upon learning that the greek gods are real, she would have loved to meet her namesake. she was told this was impossible as her namesake would never enter underwater

upon learning who her father is, she would have loved to spend time with him, explore the underworld, still meet her namesake even if it meant she might get smited, meet her siblings ( demigod or god )

in seph’s main verse, would never date a child of poseidon for having grown up lived with poseidon & amphitrite, under their wing, views them as a second set of parents. ones who cared for her ( not that her actual mother didn’t she did but didn’t couldn’t get over her husband’s death ).

if you haven’t noticed by my headcanons, immortality does not fix seph’s hearing in her left ear. she will always be deaf in that ear, including in her goddess verse

seph is not a huge fan of zeus. he did after all try to kill her because of who her father was.

seph is allergic to mint, you know, the plant persephone is responsible for making when she SQUISHED A NAIAD

seph, can not get wet much like any children of poseidon. for she said, she want’s to look at the camps, but ultimately, she wants to go back to fight in the army.

if she were to be offered a status as a god, she would be the goddess of the dead at sea,

Seph was named after Persephone because Seph’s mother had a feeling that the guy she was seeing was Hades, he never out right said he was to her. So, to appease the Goddess - on the safe side, Seph’s mother named her after who she thinks her lover’s wife is.

i wouldn’t want to be the person who tries to tell seph that she isn’t allowed to sleep in cabin 3, because her father is hades. the glare she would give, would make you feel so much terror, it would almost be like she was wearing her father’s helmet of terror. she would tell you that, posideon himself said she was allowed to stay there whenever she likes, for she served in his army for over seventy years. also to maybe not let his son feel so lonely in the cabin.

seph has been granted permission to stay in cabin three, due to her time spent on poseidon’s army. much like the hunters are allowed to rest in artemis cabin

when nico is around, she’d sleep there - for comfort for her brother to let him know that she is there. even though he is by rights older then her

despite, being a child of hades. seph is not afraid of water and never has been. she absolutely loved it. especially at the beach. and, also despite being almost struck by lightning, she isn’t afraid of it, nor she afraid of heights, or being in the air ( not that she has ever had the chance to fly anyway in any form )

seph is highly protective over anyone she meets. she could spend five minutes with you, and she would kill / die for you. as long as you don’t insult her or those she cares about.

those who she automatically are protective over are; her siblings, any children of poseidon

she is a fucking huge fan of tyson. she loves him and likes to talk to him

seph would never, never ever, place her anger for zeus on his children. in fact, she’d love and adore thalia & jason

seph has literally no sense of boundaries when it comes to being naked / in her underwear. she would just, change in the middle of camp but almost did that and got told off. so, when she does change, she does it in the cabins ( 3 or 13 ). she would change right in the middle of the cabin, not bothering to go to the bathroom at all.

seph, when at camp, has two sets of clothing drawers, one in cabin 3, and one in cabin 13.

while i remember about this; despite her being chronologically younger then, bianca, nico & hazel, seph will still them her little ‘sister/brother’. for she is PHYSICALLY older

seph doesn’t actually know a lot about any gods & goddess outside of her namesake, and water gods. mainly because she didn’t bother to learn

seph totally trained at camp ‘fish blood’, she can speak fluent sea animal

seph, would honestly refer to children of poseidon as her siblings, or sibling like, despite not being related via poseidon. this comes from her serving under poseidon’s army, and the close relationship she developed with amphitrite

seph would be the kind of person to come home with holding an new animal / creature and being like…. ‘so, we have a new pet’

she in her room at poseidon’s palace has a pet sea serpent

seph has a mermaid like tail, that she can have when underwater. she can only ‘activate’ it when she is at least fifty underwater. her tail is black with silver tips at the end of it

if zeus hadn’t struck the hellhound down, totally would have ‘adopted’ it

has come home before joining poseidon with lots of strays, only for her mother or when he was still alive, step father, to sell them when she was at school because they couldn’t afford to keep the animal, nor did they want them

honestly, while she is allowed, as said by poseidon himself, to sleep in cabin 3, chiron wouldn’t let her sleep there, so until cabin 13 was built was put in the hermes cabin. she will, and does rebel this.

so it’s not like for a few months before she has made claim on a bed in the cabin, she picked a top bunk

Shadowtravelling on land is harder for Seph then shaowtravelling underwater. She has gotten lost a few times when in land

seph knows in addition to english&greek, asl & all the languages of the ocean / merspeak

seph is immortal unless fallen in battle, for she will return to the sea. but, any friendships she makes on land, she will cherish and will fully morn when they meet their time. she will, then also go to the underworld to try and see them, because ‘ i don’t want to lose you forever ‘, in fact, she hates the idea of losing someone to death. it hurts her more then she can admit

the closer seph does get to her siblings, the more painful their death radiates in her. not knowing them already generated too much pain, but getting to know them and bond with them, and then them dying, it hurts like a bitch to the point where she might not be able to stand or breathe properly for a while.

seph like all children of hades, can sense death - but she can, when it comes to her siblings, she can literally feel them die. this is even without knowing they’re alive, she will buckle down with pain

if seph could, she would fight zeus, that is how much she hates zeus for trying to kill her (&don’t even get her started when she, if she, ever finds out that zeus tried to kill nico&bianca & killing maria ).

seph most likely, when both hazel and nico go… seph will give up her immortality

seph actually learnt asl underwater, her mother, while she loved and cared for seph she never bothered to learn or have it taught to her daughter because ‘she can hear fine from the other ear’ and that was enough for her mother and step father. they just always made sure they were talking either in front of, or on seph’s right side

seph classes triton as a brother, they may ‘not be blood’, but with how she was treated by amphitrite and brought into that world, she thinks of them as family.

seph doesn’t actually let a lot of people know her full name. to most, it is seph, and seph only. only people to get away with calling her persephone is, her bio mother, amphitrite, poseidon and triton ( barley ), maybe her father

seph honestly would call triton one of her best friends, though would she say that to his face? nah. got to keep up that sibling like rivalry

uh, seph has totally and utterly called posideon & amphitrite mum&dad, triton tried to mock her for this. but she just pulled the finger at him and shrugged. bc well. they are parental figures for her

seph is claustrophobic. she can’t stand tight and small places, it’s eventually why she does return to the ocean. her claustrophobia, was always there, but it got worse when she felt hazel’s death then even more worse when she felt bianca die. so it acted up, when nico was in the jar.
