"So this "alternate me"..." Khan looked up at the question, setting his gaze on the New Ingo who was speaking. It was still surreal to see him and see him so lean, standing tall, the only exhaustion in his expression being that from a long day of work. He was not wary like Khan's Ingo, not scarred and constantly alert to his surroundings. "What was he like?"

Khan looked away, silent. Memories of his Ingo played through his mind. The cocky smirk when he'd win a battle against Khan, the rage he'd displayed at any injustice against Akari, the care he'd always shown to his Noble and his team, the proud expression when he'd successfully gotten a pun past Khan and Akari, how he'd sleep tense and curled up if Akari was gone, but how he'd splay out with ease when she was home... Years of memories, of getting to know him, learning what made Ingo tick. What made him Warden Ingo. What made him a father. Khan had seen almost every expression his companion had had to offer.

And now he'd never see them again.

He turned his head away from the stranger wearing his friend's face. He didn't want to look at a ghost any longer.
