JD-U will not even win 20 seats in 2025 Assembly: Prashant Kishor

Prashant Kishor, the chief of the Jan Suraaj campaign on Tuesday said that the Janata Dal (United), led by Nitish Kumar, will struggle to secure even 20 seats in the upcoming 2025 Assembly elections.

“In 2015, the Grand Alliance government in Bihar was only formed because I supported Nitish Kumar. In the 2020 Assembly elections, Nitish’s party significantly declined, securing just 43 seats. The 2025 elections will result in an even more drastic outcome. The JD-U will be uprooted from Bihar politics along with the RJD,” Prashant Kishor told media persons in Jamui district.

The final decision will be made by a seven-member empowered committee, which includes prominent figures like Dr. Bhupendra Yadav, former IAS officers Suresh Sharma and Arvind Singh, and several other distinguished members.

Initially, a Dalit will hold the position, followed by a candidate from either the EBC (Extremely Backward Classes) or Muslim communities, then an OBC (Other Backward Class) and a general category representative. One notable aspect of Kishor’s approach is the flexibility regarding the educational qualifications required for the party president’s post. Kishor has hinted at a minimum qualification between Class 10 and 12, rejecting the traditional requirement of a graduate degree. बिहार में विधानसभा चुनाव (Assembly Election in Bihar)के करीब आते ही ‘सियासी हमलों’ का दौर शुरू हो गया है. कोरोना वायरस की महामारी के बीच बीजेपी के वरिष्‍ठ नेता अमित शाह ने वर्चुअल रैली करके अपने बिहार में चुनावी अभियान का आगाज कर दिया है. बिहार के चुनावों में सत्‍तारूढ़ जेडीयू-बीजेपी का मुकाबला आरजेडी और कांग्रेस गठबंधन से है. इस चुनावी माहौल में चुनावी रणनीतिकार प्रशांत किशोर (Prashant Kishor) ने अपने पूर्व सहयोगी और राज्‍य के सीएम नीतीश कुमार (Nitish Kumar) पर निशाना साधा है. प्रशांत किशोर ने एक ट्वीट में लिखा, ‘बिहार का भाग्य बदलने के लिए मोदी जी ने 1.25 लाख करोड़ के पैकेज की घोषणा की थी. सुना है बिहार को ये पैकेज मिल चुका है!भाग्य बदलने की बात छोड़िए, लोग तो हैरान हैं कि किसी को इसकी खबर तक नहीं @NitishKumar जी, कम से कम आप अपने नेता @Amitshahजी के इस दावे की पुष्टि तो कर दीजिए.’ गौरतलब है कि प्रशांत किशोर को इस वर्ष जनवरी में ही जेडी-यू ने निलंबित किया गया है.
