An annoyed "Tch!" is all Trunks manages as he feels his energy drain from him. He felt himself drop out of SSJ2. His sword felt heavy on his back. He hadn't brought his Katchin sword, worried that the weight would crush him if he ran out of too much energy. Still, he doubted the sword he carried now would do him any good.

Mentally cursing himself, he fled, never turning his back to Moro until he was sure the damned goat man would let him go without shooting him in the back. He kept up a ki shield ready at his back anyway, just in case, like his Uncle Tarble had taught him.

'Like gardening', Trunks thought numbly as he fled. 'Just hack the vegetables down, but leave the roots, so that they grow back without you having to plant more.'

The irony of that statement, given his ancestor's fondness for naming their people after vegetables, wasn't lost on him. It just pissed him off more.

'Another bastard that just thinks of the people of the universe as food...!'

It was like that bullshit with Cell and Majin Buu all over again.

And, just like back then, he'd need more training.

He had wanted to get a look at the bastard first, even if he couldn't fight Moro yet. Just to know, for sure, that he could just go ahead and kill him as soon as Trunks was able to. It was a stupid inhibition, Trunks knew, but it had been nagging at him.

“         you’re    repetitive.         ”          moro   comments   on   the   other   mortals   antics,          with   distaste   for   his   reasons   being   questioned   once   more.he   saps   at   trunks   energy,         leaving   enough   for   him   to   remain   alive   and   to   fight   if   he   were   confidant   enough.
