Re:zero Arc 7/8 spoilers ahead

Subaru's recent mass dying is very interesting but doesn't leave us with much room to go forward narratively in the future, and completely goes against the message of arc 4. The Vollachian arc as a whole can not properly come to an end without addressing this problem. Subaru must come to fear death again, and that is the direction I expect his challenges going forward in arc 8 to take.

That said, I fully expect an army of undead Smolbaru's.

What I like about arc 7 is that it slapped all the people who had Rem as the perfect girl and they will begin to analyze and love the real Rem more and not the waifu Rem (I include myself in this because it was only when I read arc 7 that I remembered what Rem was really like and I loved her character even more )

Although it is true that there are still many people who only see Rem as a waifu, there are also more people who began to understand what Rem and Subaru's relationship was really like in arc 3

The scene where Rem tells Subaru that he is not a hero is so ironic considering Rem arc 3, it shows a healthier personality change

Which re zero character would be most likely to receive a Death Note?

That's an interesting question, considering the fact that the death note can only be used to kill, and also manipulate someone's actions up to some extent before killing them, meaning many characters will hesitate to use such power or even abhor it. After thinking about it, one character comes to mind that will use the death note to its fullest extent.

Vincent Vollachia. The fight for the throne was bloody, and even after becoming the king he has to remain vigilant for rebels. He has no qualms for killing if it means he can achieve his goals and for the greater good. He's weak, and his strength lies in his intelligence. He would use anything and everything, so a killing note book seems to be right up his alley. He could stage fake scenarios to kill those who are in his way without even doing anything. He would become an even more powerful force with it. No one will even know how things work out so conveniently for him.

Even if ceci is a brat sometimes (more like all the time) it’s so fun to see the results of his unpredictable behavior, like wdym in his attempt to test subaru’s resolve he somehow ends up helping establish Pleiades battalion identity as a group and unlock cor leonis?? It’s so good to see those two chaotic creatures managing to surprise each other

sometimes you take a look at how the most popular ship is in canon, and you actually end up liking it lol

I'll never forgive the 2016 fandom for the Rem v Emilia ship wars tbh, Rem's character and relationship with Subaru are SO much more interesting than her waifuification made them out to be

that is to say they're complicated and messy and codependent and kinda toxic and it's much better this way
