Sten Hugo Hiller - 627184: War of `66. Second day, last strikes.
(By Sten Hugo Hiller - 627184) War of `66. Second day, last strikes. As the time got short it was again time for the clan leaders to assess the situation and figure out whether victory was secure, within their grasp or out of reach. For those clans that had a solid advantage the answers seemed self-evident, and the same could be said for those who were far behind. But even among those, there still was some who believed a final push could tip the scales in their favor. Other battles were closer, and again fighting raged more or less unchecked on most of the battlefields. When the referees broke up the fighting, four clans had gotten undisputed wins and eleven of the other fights had been decided by better than 3-1 margins. Four fight flipped and a trio was won with margins less than a handfull of objectives. When the guns fell silent, the scores stood: Div 1 W&D HQ 153 - 9 Spirit of Bunny A last dozen of clashes was seen. While the Warlocks won most of them, the Bunnies at least managed to reduce their level of defeat to below the 20-1 mark. Winters Coming 123 - 22 B.o.A.D. The Dragons saw no reason for further fighting, but W.C. claimed another double dozen wins. Round 3 Matchups: W&D HQ - Winters Coming B.o.A.D. - Spirit of Bunny Div 2 Northwind Dragons 69 -14 Winter`s Coming Two last handfulls of clashes were seen. The Dragons won most of them, but was one win shy of an outright 5-1 win over W.C. T.B. BlackWatch 58 - 26 M&L Team Banzai The Banzai`ers got some additional wins, but BlackWatch raised them a double handfull and ended with more than twice the score. Round 3 Matchups: Northwind Dragons - T.B. BlackWatch M&L Team Banzai - Winter`s Coming Div 3 Death`s Collectors 77 - 24 SH5 When the dust settled after the last dozen of skirmishes, the Collectors had outscored the Slaughterers better than 3-1. Avengers of Bunny 64 - 65 Star League In a desperate bid for the win, the Leaguers pulled out all the stops. The fight swung back and forth and were tied three times. The decision came when the Bunnies tried to win the last tie and failed. Round 3 Matchups: Death`s Collectors - Avengers of Bunny Star League - SH5 Div 4 B.S.L.R. 106 - 22 D.t.S.B. The Brigade managed to claim one last win, while the Rangers added another dozen to their score. But that still wasnt enough for an outright 5-1 victory. "R.V." 92 - 76 M&L B.C. 13th A.D. The Cats managed to get closer, but was still more than a dozen wins behind R.V. when the time ran out Round 3 Matchups: B.S.L.R. - "R.V." M&L B.C. 13th A.D. - D.t.S.B. Div 5 Heroes 35 - 55 Ronins Both the Heroes and the Ronins won another dozen clashes, still leaving the Ronins a score in front. D.D.A. 14 - 56 Renegades The Asylants won more fights than the Renegades in the last period, but the Renegades still claimed 80% of the total objectives. Mad Scientist.7 19 - 82 Death`s Revenge The Scientists didnt claim any more objectives, but D.R. added enough to their tally for a clearcut 4-1 win. Alpha Legion 2 - 40 Diamond Dragons Two last handfulls of clashes were fought. The Legion won just one of them, resulting in a 20-1 win for the Dragons. Probable round 3 Matchups: Ronins - Renegades Heroes - Death`s Revenge D.D.A. - Diamond Dragons Mad Scientist.7 - Alpha Legion Div 6 Defenders of Bunny 101 - 105 Smurf Platoon The Bunnies and the Smurfs got into the last dirty fighting with songs on their lips and mayhem in their hearts. In the end, Smurf determination managed to give them a narrow win. ARMORED CORE 0 - 26 Chess Dragons A.C. stayed still, while the Dragons claimed another double handfull of wins. MurderBots 58 - 42 ***R.V.*** MurderBots was ready when R.V. finally launched their attacks. After absorbing some of them, they launched a solid riposte that ensured they would stay in front. t&t 41 - 67 M&L B.o.P.S. t&t`s carefully hoarded reserves tried to even the score. But before they could do so, a solid Smurf counteroffensive ruined their day. Probable round 3 Matchups: Smurf Platoon - Chess Dragons Defenders of Bunny - M&L B.o.P.S. ARMORED CORE - MurderBots t&t - ***R.V.*** Div 7 T.B. 1st K.H. 43 - 2 Behemoth The Behemoths was unable to get more wins, while the Highlanders clubbed them mercilessly for a better than 20-1 outclassing. Black Star Bandits 62 - 44 T.I.o.M.T. The Misfits managed to reduce the the Bandits lead, but was never in a position to threathen the win. **R.V.** 33 - 58 JC`s Rowdy Bunch The Bunch managed to claim a bit over a dozen additional objectives, but when the Bunch more than tripled theirs the game was over. M&L A.R.S.E. 56 - 59 Deaths Hecklers The Smurfs and the Hecklers got into one of those famous furballs one often hear about but seldom see. In the end the badly bruised Hecklers outscored the Smurfs by a few objectives. Probable round 3 Matchups: T.B. 1st K.H. - Black Star Bandits Behemoth - Deaths Hecklers T.I.o.M.T. - JC`s Rowdy Bunch **R.V.** - M&L A.R.S.E. Div 8 Major Steel 38 - 12 *R.V.* R.V. continued to claim objectives, but so did the Steelers, and in the end they had three times as many. Murdermech Mini 32 - 70 Ronins 2 Murdermech decided to halt further offensive operations, while the Ronins claimed another half-dozen wins for a solid 2-1 win. Karma II 0 - 8 I.N.A. The Alliance claimed a last pair of wins. But curiously, Karma failed to make any attacks, so the Alliance ended as unchallenged winners. Mad Scientist 1 24 - 47 Jagdstaffel 2 A bit over a score final clashes were seen. The scientists won most of them, but the Jagdstaffel still held nearly twice as many objectives when the fighting ended. Probable round 3 Matchups: Major Steel - Ronins 2 Murdermech mini - I.N.A. *R.V.* - Jagdstaffel 2 Karma II - Mad Scientist 1 Div 9 Karma 12 - 0 Dawn Patrol As no further fighting was seen, Karma got an unopposed win. Cold Dead Hands 8 - 0 Banditos No more fighting was seen here either, so the Deaders got another unoposed win. Gamer`s United 20 - 7 RED AXE Some last scuffles were reported, but in the end the Gamers had a bakers dozen more wins than the Axemen. Borg Collective 35 - 7 H.o.G. No further fighting was reported here either. Probable round 3 Matchups: Karma - Cold Dead Hands Gamer`s United - Borg Collective Dawn Patrol - Banditos RED AXE - H.o.G.

Sten Hugo Hiller - 627184: War of `61. Second day, decisive clashes.
(By Sten Hugo Hiller - 627184) War of `61. Second day, decisive clashes.
There were not much time left of the day, and most of the clans were in pretty bad shape already. But still, many clans brought out their last, hoarded supplies to do some more fighting.
Whether it was to rub already defeated opponents into the mud, secure a shaky win, try to change the outcome or just getting in some licks of their own was perhaps the reason they gave.
But the truth might have been that they were warriors, and when the battlefield called they responded.
Two Battles saw a reversal of fortunes in the closing hours, and six of them were decided by margins less than ten. On the other hand, of the 30 winners, 23 had scores at least twice as high as their opponents.
After a full day of fighting, the scores stood:
Division 1
Warlocks HQ 135 - 7 Spirit of Bunny A last half-dozen engagements was seen, not that they could change the outcome in any way.
B.o.A.D. 43 - 117 Nemesis A last dozen of skirmishes were fought. Nemesis won most of them, as well as the battle
Round 3 matchup:
Warlocks HQ - B.o.A.D. Nemesis - Spirit of Bunny
Division 2
Northwind Dragons 81 - 2 Slaughter House 5 The Dragons put a last, unneccesary, nail into the Slaughterers coffin.
M&L Team Banzai 29 - 62 Death Dealers The Banzai`ers didnt manage to claim any more wins, but the Dealers claimed enough additional objectives for a comfortable 2-1 win.
Round 3 matchup:
Northwind Dragons - M&L Team Banzai Death Dealers - Slaughter House 5
Division 3
Death`s Collectors 48 - 27 Star League The Collectors kept on top of the Leaguers and landed a solid win.
T.B. BlackWatch 51 - 11 Avengers of Bunny BlackWatch kicked in another few Bunny warrens and emerged as undisputed winners. ' Round 3 matchup:
Death`s Collectors - T.B. BlackWatch Avengers of Bunny - Star League
Division 4
"R.V." 50 - 123 P.F.U.D.o.R. R.V. was subject to more pummeling before the Unicorns called it a day.
B.S.L.R. 81 - 6 M&L B.C. 13th A.D. The Rangers secured some additional outlying objectives, while the Cats kept a vary distance.
Round 3 matchup:
"R.V." - B.S.L.R. M&L B.C. 13th A.D. - P.F.U.D.o.R.
Division 5
Black Star Bandits 54 - 10 Defenders of Bunny A last half-dozen engagements were recorded, but the Bandits eventual win was never in doubt.
Death`s Revenge 67 - 28 Smurf Platoon The Revengers kept up the pressure and ended way in front of the Smurfs.
Heroes 91 - 14 Mad Scientist.7 The Scientists was unable to claim additional objectives, while the Heroes secured better than an additional score.
D.D.A. 67 - 1 Alpha Legion The Asylants hunted down two additional handfuls of hapless Legionaries.
Probable round 3 matchup:
Black Star Bandits - Death`s Revenge Heroes -Defenders of Bunny D.D.A. - Smurf Platoon Mad Scientist.7 - Alpha Legion
Division 6
ARMORED CORE 1 - 55 Ronins The Ronins claimed some more wins, not that A.C. wasnt already crushed.
Chess Dragons 21 - 6 Diamond Dragons A last, short dozen of engagements cemented the Chess masters win.
Heroes Ranger Raccoons 61 - 31 t&t t&t got an offensive going, but the time ran out before they could overtake the Raccoons.
Death`s Disciples 47 - 51 M&L of B.o.P.S. The last hours of fighting were close and personal, but in the end the Smurfs managed to outscore the Disciples by less than a handful of wins.
Probable round 3 matchup:
Chess Dragons - Ronins ARMORED CORE - M&L of B.o.P.S. Diamond Dragons - Heroes Ranger Raccoons Death`s Disciples - t&t
Division 7
Renegades 26 - 0 Behemoth The Renegades claimed a last win, while the Behemoths just waited for their nightmare to end.
T.B. 1st K.H. 27 - 8 ITC The Highlanders claimed some more wins, more than enough to trounce ITC better than 3-1.
Sacrificial Lambs 27 - 11 Heroes Light Brigade The Brigade cut a better figure than the Lambs in the final hours of fighting, but still secured fewer than half the total objectives of the Lambs.
JC`s Rowdy Bunch 60 - 31 M&L A.R.S.E. The Smurfs had perhaps already started the victory celebration when the Bunch launched an overwhelming blitz that carried the day.
Probable round 3 matchup:
Renegades - T.B. 1st K.H. Behemoth - Sacrificial Lambs ITC - JC`s Rowdy Bunch Heroes Light Brigade - M&L A.R.S.E.
Division 8
**R.V.** 63 - 57 Deaths Hecklers Plenty of additional fighting was seen, and the Hecklers came within a half-dozen wins of toppling R.V.
Major Steel 7 - 12 P.F.H. The Steelers was satisfied with their score, but the Homeboys launched a late offensive that carried the day for them.
Active Sleepers 19 - 13 Mad Scientist 1 There was some more skirmishes, and the honors were about even. But the Sleepers preexisting advantage proved decisive.
Karma II 45 - 6 Jagdstaffel 2 Karma claimed another half-dozen wins, totally overshadowing the Jagdstaffel.
Probable round 3 matchup:
**R.V.** - P.F.H. Major Steel - Active Sleepers Death`s Hecklers - Karma II Mad Scientist 1 - Jagdstaffel 2
Division 9
I.N.A. 24 - 5 D.H.o.t.A. Neither side wanted to engage in more fighting, so the Alliance crushed the Horsemen nearly 5-1.
Karma 11 - 2 C.D.H. Only Karma was active in the last hours, and that let them claim a convincing win.
Ronins 2 33 - 10 Banditos The Banditos managed to gain one more objective, while the Ronins claimed enough to end at a success rate above 75%.
Dawg Patrol 36 - 6 Borg Collective The Borgs managed to claim some more wins, but were buried by the late Dog offensive.
Probable round 3 matchup:
I.N.A. - Karma Ronins 2 - Dawg Patrol D.H.o.t.A. - C.D.H. Banditos - Borg Collective
Division 10
RED AXE 9 - 0 Martian Boogie The Axemen claimed another couple of wins, while the Martians refused to stir.
H.o.G. 40 - 4 Kongregate HG The H.o.G.s claimed another double handful of wins, -enough to give them a 10-1 win over KHG.
Round 3 matchup:
RED AXE - H.o.G. Kongregate HG - Martian Boogie
