Whisperingclan Moon 23

I was DEVISTATED when I loaded this moon to see that my beloved boy Weedpatch DIED, I almost cheated and quit without saving to resurrect him... but the fact that on the same moon a long furred version of Weed showed up??? CRAZY ... so I kept the moon.

I have a whole backstory for Celeste but I will add that during the year 2 line up.

oh ya also Tempeststar demonstrating her great parenting and mentor skills by putting the life of her daughter in danger ... pretty in character tbh.

i really like how the art turned out for this one plz appreciate it I spent wayyy too much time on this.

Little thing while I struggle to tween lol

Hey! Just sorta asking around to my fave Clangen blogs since I'm interested in starting my own-Do you use classic mode or expanded mode? I feel like w/ classic not enough happens, and with expanded TOO many cats die. But w/ classic I also face the problem of my Clans becoming so overpopulated so quickly that it's hard to make a story and choose what to focus on. Maybe I just need to turn off the ability to have kits w/ an unknown partner? Idk, just looking for ppls opinions/preferences for a story-centric Clangen run!

Hey! I don't know if the way I do things is the BEST way but here's how I do things: I play on expanded mode! And while you're right, a lot more cats can die on expanded mode, it's a lot more interesting to me. A good idea is to decide which cats of yours you DON'T really want to die, and just reset the moon if they DO (for example, Tigertoe died MOON ONE and I had to reset IMMEDIATELY).

If you don't plan on having main characters in your clangen like I do, then I would recommend turning "mass extinction events" on if you're going to have "unknown second parent" on! The main reason I don't have mass extinction events on even though I do have unknown second parent on is because my main characters (like Tiger and Clown) were as likely to die as the side characters I didn't care so much about. A good rule I like to use is--if you're going to have "unknown second parent" on--decide which cats you DONT want to have kits, for plot reasons (Ringstar), and turn their ability to have kits off. I also turn kits off on characters that have ALREADY had kits with an unknown parent, so they don't just keep having MORE. I've also seen people manually/randomly kill off cats when they start getting too many and make up lore to explain it! (Whisperingclan does this for example!)

Hope this sort of helps! The bottom line is, RNG is really just a starting point. You have control over the lore and how you want to use it!
