My next D&D game might be a not-super-serious one-shot run by one of the players, and I just got the email saying that the plot is that we’re all misfit good kobolds trying to track down a golden dragon to serve under.

I’m already super attached to all of the characters I don’t know yet

#my posts #WE'RE TWO FOOT TALL LIZARD PEOPLE THEY'RE /ADORABLE/#i'm trying to figure out what mine is aside from A Girl who is named Koopa who is ready for ACTION and FIGHTING THINGS #because Eugene is a very tactical coward who Does Not Like Direct Conflict #i can't decide on her class though #if we're looking for a master to serve then flavorwise that knocks out Cleric and Warlock. arguably Druid and Paladin too #i'm taking out Rogue and Ranger bc again i want to be in the middle of the action #Wizard doesn't sound impulsive enough plus you've got like minus five hit points and Kobolds have an INT penalty #so i'm thinkin like... Bard or Sorcerer or Fighter?#we're all third level too so i also have to decide SUBCLASS things #unless i multiclass #and then there's backgrounds to be chosen and ohh boy so many choicesssss #too many choices for a goofy one-off #trying to figure out some good Incompetent Lackey tropes for a girl who makes decisions of questionable quality and wants to square up 24/7 #are there any good FUN D&D archetypal tropes that aren't just ''hot mess''#?#because i would love to try some new ones but we've only got like 3.5 hours
