"burdened shoulders carry on" ~SacredInkedBlood I didn't realize it, I denied it every time it was brought up, My dear friend, they told me you've lost weight, your head held up straight in height, You sleep well at night, Your walk has become as a feather is light. I didn't realize, still denied, until mentioned after many times, that I've gain weight to the point I'm hunkered down, Awake at night, my steps are no longer carefree. Realized or not, I've added to my shoulders all of the burdens that you once beared, I've added them to mine, My shoulders took what your shoulders once held, Now my shoulders have so many burdens that's it's hard to carry on. That's how I am, caring too much, wanting to spare others from such, I finally awoke to this travesty, did you realize that you have given me all of yours to bear, did you realize that I already had my own to bear, I took yours only adding to mine, I know I did it on my own, I know you didn't ask me, not even 1 time, but I have to wonder did it get away from you because you just weren't aware or did you just not care. Maybe your shoulders have just a tiny room to spare If you're not up to the task then forget, forget that in a moment of self pity, I did ask.
