Y'know, it's actually a little sad that the one person Shinichi trusts when he's in a bad situation is the one person who has fully betrayed him in this scenario. Look at his adorable innocent face, and then think about the fact that there's a decent chance he was told about the car escape and where Shinichi would go. (In fairness, he might not know, and his main involvement is limited to calling the parents in the first place and then is involved in the hotel scheme later. He might actually be going about his day for now, and the recapture just happens to come while Agasa is returning home. But still a good chance he's just going 'just gotta act natural, pretend not to hear, this boy really needs to learn something from this'.)
But also this is technically the first time his heavy reliance on Agasa is pointed out. Shinichi really doesn't have anywhere else to go, and he never had anywhere to go when he was poisoned from the beginning until Agasa showed up to confide in and offer support. Agasa made his gadgets, has dealt with Shinichi coming over to rant about his situation, and has had to cover for him twice. This event is a betrayal, but I also don't think Agasa understood just how much he'd be in charge of Shinichi as the only one who knows what's going on. Which, on the one hand, of course this was going to happen, and Shinichi needs the support with what he's dealing with. But on the other hand, I'm sure teen detective Shinichi did more on his own and with friends, taking care of cases and just bringing back stories, and less time dropping in on Agasa.
