like i think it's a lot easier for the audience to relate to and sympathise with Crowley coz he's way more human in a way we can understand but it's not like this was easy for Aziraphale either, he feels just as much and he's just as hurt, like from his point of view he's the one that got rejected it's just not as obvious to us since he's the one that's choosing to leave everything behind, but to him it was the only option and he was literally begging crowley to come with him but he refused. like i think it's clear and understandable why ppl view this as crowley being the only victim because "i confessed my love to someone to get them to stay and they left anyway" is a way more human feeling than "i am an angel from like the actual bible and i have to go and help heaven run better" but i think both their chocies make perfect sense to who they are

It feels like you've been gutted. Scooped out, hollowed ㅡ emptied for the cold slither of the thing that's inhabited your body since you came out of the Cauldron. You don't know what it is, not really ㅡ only that you've worked hard to keep it reined in, docile and dormant.
It simmers under your skin now, howling a demand for an outlet, screaming so loud you can't think past anything but wanting to absolutely rip apart whatever or whoever has had the audacity to touch your children, let alone take them from you.
"You're bleeding."
Concern doesn't begin to cover how Azriel feels, watching you stare blankly at the baby blanket draped over your legs. Just hours ago, the twins had been sleeping soundly underneath it. Just hours ago, Aria, Ivy and River had been safe and sound. Your hands are curled tight, crimson oozing beneath your fingertips ㅡ your nails have dug so hard they've broken skin.
Azriel reaches for you, tries not to think about the fact he can't feel anything from your end of the bond, cold snap of a shield so fierce that even Rhysand couldn't get you to lower it, that your skin burns under his touch.
Your fingers uncurl like a spring-loaded trap, bloodied at the tips with no source for it as your skin knits together, sealing the little crescents your nails had dug. Your gaze shifts over to him, painfully slow. What stares out at him from behind your eyes isn't you, and isn't fae.
Azriel swallows. And not for the first time, he wonders what else came out of the Cauldron with you. You blink once, twice ㅡ and that power dims, a shadow tucked back to the deep. Your shoulders tremble and then you're in his arms, muffling a choked cry as the dam breaks.
"They're out there," you sob, "Aria and Ivy and River ㅡ they're out there, Azriel."
His chest aches. "I know."
Azriel wonders how he can hold you tight enough to keep you from falling apart when he's unraveling with you, thoughts jumping from one scenario to another, each one worse than the last. He wants to be out there looking for them, hunting down whoever took them ㅡ but Rhysand had taken one look at you and told him you needed him more.
Time feels like syrup. Thick, sticky, and agonizing for how slow it slips past ㅡ Azriel doesn't know how long you cry for, only that his heart feels like it's been cleaved in two when you finally still. He knows you're not asleep, can feel the wet sweep of your lashes on his skin with each slow blink.
He doesn't know how to comfort you. As much as he wants to, he knows that there isn't anything he can say that will close that chasm of fear for either of you until your children are back.
Azriel tenses as his shadows alert him Cassian and Rhys' return ㅡ and he waits, ignoring your questioning look as he asks the tentative question, fearing the answer. Are theyㅡ
They're here. And they're okay, Rhys tells him, sounding exhausted but relieved. Not a scratch on them.
He knows you've heard Rhys too by the way you're pulling away from him and getting to your feet, bolting at the sound of Ivy's wailing ㅡ and he isn't far behind you.
Red-cheeked, your younger daughter is near screaming in Cassian's arms, teary-eyed River in Rhys' with Aria clinging to his leg. Azriel takes River from the High Lord, shadows wreathing around Aria to guide her to him as well, and Ivy quiets as she's cradled into your arms.
You're crying again. Quietly, tears dampening Ivy's hair as you kiss her head, her cheeks, her nose ㅡ and they continue to spill until you've done the same with Aria and River, reassuring yourself that your children are indeed unharmed.
Once you and your children are far enough away, Azriel turns towards Cassian and Rhys. "What about who took them?"
Cassian looks away, but the gleam to his eyes and the spatter of blood he's missed cleaning off his face says enough, and dark satisfaction thrums in Azriel's veins.
The tension doesn't ease completely until the three of them are asleep between the two of you, cradled protectively with you on one side, Azriel on the other. Only then does Azriel allow himself to relax, knowing that they're safe and sound.

You agree there’s no evidence Gwyn is lying or hiding something but we know Elain is sneaking around. That’s the whole point. You are treating the situations like they’re the same when they’re not while also trashing theories that your fellow elucien shippers came up with btw. Just admit you hate Gwyn already it’s obvious you don’t have to pretend
Elain isn't "sneaking" around. Cassian noted she might not be going to the gardens like she said but that could mean so many other things.
She could be heading somewhere she's embarrassed to confess she's going.
She might not have needed to get up early in the first place and felt awkward at the dinner table because Az was there and she knew he'd been avoiding her so she made up a reason to excuse herself.
And Elain moving quietly isn't her "sneaking around" either (in a negative way). Just like Gwyn's "beckoning" song (which is the same language used when the Cauldron tried to lure Elain to it) doesn't mean her singing is manipulating people but you could see why some might make that case. I never said there wasn't evidence that could support Gwyn acting in a questionable way, I said I see how there could be (same as Elain based on one side of the fandom) but I personally don't agree with that interpretation. Cassian noted that he thought Nesta was lying to him but again, that didn't have a nefarious connotation attached to it.
A lot of the situations have similarities to them. And I'm noting what I feel are the similarities. You disagree but, are you telling me you're more the expert than I am? Should I not bother creating my own posts and simply defer to writing your ideas from now on? Or is it possible that we are both seeing different things and I'm also allowed to view things differently than you. I don't just randomly make up stuff, I usually have things from the book that I feel support my ideas. Without SJM confirming if I'm right or wrong, that's the best I can do.
Feel free to stop pressuring me into admitting I hate Gwyn anytime now. Because I don't hate Gwyn. I have been 100% honest that she's not my absolute favorite but I like her. Like I like Feyre or Mor or Amren. I probably like Nesta the least of all the females but I like her much more since the end of SF. And when you like one character and others don't, you definitely pick up on the negativity surrounding that character and how there are a lot of arguments against them. My defense of Elain and why I don't think others comparisons of her being terrible while Gwyn is great (because they're both good and decent females) is no different than when I see someone who likes Az then tries to tear apart Lucien as "less than" compared to him. I 100% hate how Az acts with Elain but I don't hate Az. What I do hate is when Az is made out to be better than Lucien and the arguments are unjust. So I then defend Lucien while giving examples of why I don't agree with Az's behavior. I don't dislike Gwyn at all but I do dislike when some super fans of Gwyn are really negative towards Elain which is no different than Gwyn fans hating how some E/riels attack her character in order to make Gwynriel less likely in their minds. And there's a huge difference between someone not being your favorite and completely trashing that character when there's evidence to support that the two actually share a lot of positive similarities.
