Oh so the duolingo update is just utterly naff then
#Alright I was willing to put up with the janky long-winded screen#And the fact that they seem to have booted me back several levels#But where is the vocabulary list#Where are the words I learned#How am I supposed to keep up with new vocabulary#What a load of crap#Can't even complain because I don't want to be associated with the sort of people who seem to be whining#about duolingo being 'woke' just because there are LGBT+ people in the world#The lack of a vocabulary list and the dumbing down of actual language learning features#And a silly user interface that has way too many buttons and involves too much scrolling to get back to where you were previously#Is much more of a problem than your personal narrow worldview not being catered to by a language learning site#On the lack of a vocab list though who actually thought that was a good idea#I mean seriously#I don't want to transfer to Babbel or some other language larning website#The old format of duolingo had its problems but it was genuinely useful on a day to day basis#Supplemented of course with vocabulary revision; independent listening and reading exercises; and several grammar books#And I'd got to a certain point in the course which I can't jump forward to again#Honestly you take a break for a few months and they go and screw up the whole shop
