you rly do have to slowly get to know printers like they're horses...
#secondhand epson my mom's bf didn't need anymore. probably hadnt been used in months or years before we picked it up from her place#n then we had it sit around for another few months bc too busy to go through the whole printer setup Thing#i turn it on and do one (1) maintenance it's fine. before i can do the 2nd maintenance it starts weeping and howling#about how it doesn't know what 2 of its ink cartridges are suddenly. they're not out of ink it just doesnt understand what they are#i mess with that for a bit and then decide 'you know what fuck it' and just buy more. like those were also in there before i got it so sure#i replace them it's like yaaaay ok you can print now. i print it is banded as hell. i do some aligning i do some cleaning#we are now almost in a state where i can in fact print shipping labels finally... or ride at the big Horse Contest i guess
