It is always weird interacting with my in-laws and seeing the difference between them and my own parents not only in how they were raised but the ways in which education didn't fail them. My husband having parents who both graduated highschool (and at least one hoping to college and becoming a NASA employed aerophysicist) is so alien to me as a woman with a mom who dropped out and then later pursued a GED and a dad who never even finished middle school
