Bail Organa Alderaanian Civil War headcanon time

Bail Organa was sent away from his homeworld close to the beginning of the Alderaanian Civil War. This happened right after his older brother was killed, when his parents realized that no one was safe. Plus they still wanted their youngest son to be involved in galactic politics, and having him be involved in a nasty (and only semi-legal) civil war would definitely put a stain on his record

Bail was 14

He was very angry about this. He wanted to fight--wanted to avenge his brother’s death more than anything. He didn’t necessarily agree with his family’s political stance in the Civil War, but he was angry about his brother’s death, and wanted to make them pay who had been responsible for his death

His brother’s name was Aidaan. He had been 10 years older than Bail, and Bail had many fond memories of Aidaan giving him piggy back rides through the halls of their estate, and sneaking him cookies, and just...being a good big brother before he went off to join the military

His brother was a captain in the Alderaanian standing military, and was murdered by an Organa fanatic. It was classified as a “hate crime”, but to Bail’s knowledge, no justice was served to the one who killed him, because it was covered up by Aidaan’s CO

It took Bail a few years to find all of this out, though the family knew it was because of the civil war from the beginning. They just didn’t know any details about the situation

Bail, upon going to Coruscant to live with his uncle, Bail Antilles III, became a senatorial aid to his uncle. He was grumpy about this--he didn’t want to be a politician, though his mother (Madera) had always planned for him to be Alderaan’s next Senator--but he did it anyway, to please his uncle more than anyone else

He continued his schooling, though it was through private tutors

When he was 16, he applied to the University of Coruscant and was accepted. He went for a double major: the GFFA equivalent of political science and history

He wanted to be a historian, but the only way he was able to get his mother to pay for his schooling was to sneak the history major in there with the political science

His professors adored him. They all fully expected him to be a politician, and amongst themselves thought that he would likely be one of the best politicians the galaxy had seen that generation--assuming, of course, he didn’t follow through with his history folly

When he was 18, he figured out everything about Aidaan’s death. For spring break, he lied to his uncle and claimed that he was going to a Tenafa, a vacation planet, with his friends. His uncle, who didn’t know he had good friends, was happy to give him the month off. Instead of going to Tenafa, though, Bail instead went home to Alderaan, where he joined an Organa para-military organization captained by an actual military officer

That captain was none other than a young Carlist Rieekan

He also went back for two months of the summer vacation that year, once again by lying to his uncle about his “friends”

Okay so story time like you know the prayer call (aidaan) okay so on my prayer app that plays so a few weeks ago me and my friend were in a lift with a buch of white people and the prayer call went like “Allah Akbar” so me rushing putting it off because those white people were freaking out like some lady was holding on to her papers like it was her life line and my white friend bless her was trying to salvage it like “oh nora is it time to pray” “and i was like “yeah” trying to laugh it off  and then my second prayer went off anyways i never saw white people exit a lift any faster than i saw that day
