okay i'm gonna have to do a real analysis but both episode 3 and episode 6 starting with flashbacks instead of daniel but showing very clear character insight and development for daniel

#i'm vampire chronicling#also this episode did things they haven't done narratively or structurally before#the points of view were more skewed in episode 6#there were back time jumps within the flashback to give insight into a previous scene#rather than just going right through and showing everything#aka a very clear attempt of louis editorializing but instead of ripping out pages he's rearranging them#also the use of a dream#like i have to call it a dream i cannot necessarily call it a memory or a flashback#it was a dream which calls into question the reality of it#the odyssey of recollection is an entirely different adventure when it comes to dreams#especially when mind reading and projecting vampires are there#especially in a series that has psychics
