It's time again for a Friday Makhali Fact: this time, it's about food!

Makhali's favorite food is buuz made with dzo meat, like the kind she would get on trips to Reunion with her family (and would poorly try to imitate with salted goat meat the rest of the year). She claims she can handle spicy foods, but the reddening of her face proves that she cannot. This will not stop her from trying even the spiciest dish. She isn't big on desserts, usually preferring heartier meals that would keep her full on the mountain cliffs - but she does have a soft spot for citrusy things. Being very resourceful, Makhali wastes practically nothing from a hunt, and also with her meals - even when she detests certain ingredients (i.e., radishes).

If you're down, she will offer you dried jerky from her hunts as you would an egg in these trying times :)

Kni's silly lil 6 month anniversary for "Leona Crossing" event!!!!

Hi!!! Hello!!! Recently my current (very long) fic, Leona crossing: new Shroud horizons, reached its 6th month anniversary!!! It did this month on the 23rd, in fact! I posted it for the first time on September 23rd of last year, so... Yay! Half anniversary event!!! I think!!! I'm gonna blab a little bit more under the cut hehe, including the event details👍✌️

So.

Welcome to the rest of this post, glad to have you here! Writing is my passion, but before I started writing Leona crossing, I was in a huge rut. An endless writer's block. I had a bit of a tumble (or perhaps a hard fall) during the end of 2021, which lead me to writing nearly nothing in 2022... This lead to the deterioration and dust collecting of my writing skills. I discovered twisted wonderland in 2022, and eventually found leoide and fell in love. I joked lightly back then, asking if I should write fanfiction. Someone said "why not?". Then I really sat there. Thought about it. Why not? I threw a few ideas around, sat down, and wrote the first chapter of Leona crossing soon after. I thank my barrel comrade and beta for supporting me through this sudden change in writing from my oc works to straight up fanfiction lol. So, tada, Leona crossing was born, and slowly but surely I got out of my rut. And I'm writing again. I'm really proud. This is half a celebration of Leona crossing, but also half a celebration that I've been writing for 6 months without hesitation and without anything to stop me again. It's a really nice feeling, I'm really happy I took that scary leap of faith and started writing my first ever fanfiction, it had lead to plenty of wonderful things!

Anyway, that's enough about me. Here's some event details
