also i can’t believe how much I didn’t care about Fire and Blood / The Princess and the Queen back when they came out vs. how much I find myself invested in House of the Dragon now.

Those books came and went with me barely noticing (even though I was hardcore into ASOIAF at the time!) and now, in the year 2022, after the wholeass mess that was GOT8, I am living for Targ Drama. Just because the show made Alicent and Rhaenyra childhood friends and gave me lesbian repression and visibly female rage and free spirited baby Rhaenyra.
