#I dont know if this is common knowledge but I was actually raised vegetarian#vegetarian parents/ vegetarian siblings/ etc#I had meat for the first time at the age of 21#part of the reason I switched my diet was because I was having a hard time controlling my anemia#and was blacking out multiple times a day#like I'd stand up and everything would go black and I'd feel myself start shaking uncontrollably#and I'd come to consciousness a few moments later either on the floor or leaning against a wall#you can definitely be healthy on a vegetarian diet! the rest of of my family is a testament to that#but I personally do not feel like I can be vegetarian and healthy.#also the taking away eggs comment was funny.....do you think leaving unfertilized eggs to rot in the coop is more compassionate?#and the incorrect evolutionary biology (we are omnivores. our guts and teeth are those of omnivores)#also this world where 'animals can just live rather than being objects'. does this person know how fucking spoiled my chickens are#do they know about the Hento boxes 😂#finally I gotta love the pre-emptive 'please don't talk to me about indigenous people and poor people'#but yeah don't take this as me being universally against vegans/vegetarians. I have a whole family of them. I just think the belief system#detailed above is logically unsound/poor in evidence/not inclusive/basically fucking dumb
