But yeah I was thinking about that too... but honestly I see them more as neutral forces? With Papyrus maybe being a bit misguided on helping out? (Maybe he thinks this will grant everyone great dreams).

Will have to look up on different concepts about dreams and things to get this right I would think!

(Also found Deja vu... night terrors... Hallucination... daydreams... and yeah lucid dreaming. Also... insomnia. Just... either concepts around dreams or sleeping in general I would think could work for this universe? But yeah this is just me tossing an idea out into the void of Tumblr, walk away for a bit and see what happens XD)

Oh gosh - first post of the new year and it's just me thinking about an alternate universe idea for Dreamtale out of all things!

Idk why but I was seeing posts about the Dreamtale bros and just suddenly thought:

"Hm... I know that both of them being 'sanses' (not really but kinda at the same time) is a little weird... but also altering it to a Sans and Papyrus combo also doesn't seem quite right...

"Wouldn't a potential AU named Dreamtale (since there are plenty alternate AUs with same names) would be an underground that's more within a dream realm? Maybe the true "Dream" and "Nightmare" are the Toriel and Asgore of the world... where Asgore (if he's 'nightmare') is going a little over the top with generating nightmares for the humans whom trapped the monsters into the realm of the collective minds.

"Could be interesting if we flip them where Toriel is 'Nightmare' and Asgore is 'Dream'... maybe he's trying too much to advocate the good dreams of his fellow people to the point it is slightly corrupted? Not sure... there's a lot of potential in here.

"So then who would the others be? Has to be different aspects of dreams and nightmares... maybe Lucid Dreaming for Sans? XD"

... I guess have fun with the concept of that?

Welp... after reading what I wrote it is truly a different AU than the original Dreamtale... so... what kind of name should this AU even have then?
