This just in, Lupin III Tokyo Crisis confirmed to indeed be one of the good movies
#it felt like they were coming at the series from a similar place to miyazaki did which was nice#I don't know how I'd rank them but it's in my top 5 definitely#alongside:#castle of cagliostro#mystery of mamo#chikemuri no ishikawa goemon#fuma conspiracy#lupin III#I've enjoyed all the films I've seen but Island of Assassins aka Walther p38 was kinda boring tbh#and I loved jigen daisuke's gravestone but it felt like a tv special more than a movie#I guess goemon's bloodspray is like that too but it was just so spectacular#and theres the gif of fujiko lighting up a bong that we should all be thankful for
