what do you mean all those sm64 soundfont covers were just stealing already made midi files and slapping the soundfont on haphazardly in fl studio...
i thought you guys were making the midi files yourselves...
#is it still a midislap if the midi file you're slapping the soundfont on is your own creation?#because i was starting a 'from under the cork tree' cover (bc the covers I like are for iconic rock albums)#and after arranging the midi for our lawyer i was like 'whew! this is hard! these people must be good at transcribing!' (they were not)#and then once I actually 'slapped' the soundfont on I tried making (am trying to make) it unironically sound good#so you're telling me these are SUPPOSED to be low effort? and that's how ppl churned them out so fast?#gotta rethink my life and my wip cover of gin joints... (I will not rethink lol)#self
