I don't know why it's taken this many years for the fully formed idea to solidify in my head, and admittedly I don't read nearly as much fanfic as I'd like so I don't know if this is a common idea a lot of other people have done already...

But I was just thinking about a post-Trespasser mage Inquisitor having a prosthetic arm made that functions specifically as an alternative mana focus instead of them still having to use a staff or orb or something, is this anything hello

#even in our technologically advanced real world the reality of upper limb prosthetics is they often end up being more hindrance than help #working as more of a 'normalising' aesthetic choice than a functional replacement #any inquisitor would likely be quite weakened after losing their arm and the magic of the anchor #they would have to relearn how to do most things in their life including fighting #with this they would be able to keep their right hand free for any and everything else #while they fight and cast other magic #and also wouldn't need to try and create an unrealistically high tech version that was essentially just a new arm #let the inquisitor be visibly and functionally disabled while still having some practical fun with it #dragon age #inquisitor #my.og #dragon age inquisition #dragon age trespasser #my.dath
