digimon world 4 is like if a game was good but also bad and piss-easy but also ball-crushing difficult
#soda offers you a can#this does not feel like a game that was given love and care in the gameplay department aksjdh#the beginning is fucking impossibly difficult without save states or cheats#but then you get past the first area and suddenly grinding is a thing you can do#and then you can just. up your stats until you can equip the Good Weapons#i mean of course it takes time but idk i don't mind the grinding#even if the combat is like. mash button and win lol#well more like mash button run a circle away from the enemy and repeat#the setting fills me with joy tho :)#and digimon with swords isn't as weird when you make your character into an oc who's terrified of evolving#and uses specialized chrome digizoid weapons to bridge the gap they'd otherwise have in battle#this game is brainstorming food tbh
