finally watching the interview with the vampire show as i have been thinking about doing for several months and. boy. that lestat sure can lestat!
#he's just... ough. he's SO MUCH. he's a lot. he's like if howl pendragon were deeply evil i'm obsessed with him#and he’s SO fucking funny. i’ll never get past it. i’ve been saying ‘well i like to do it. i enjoy it’ to myself for hours now#and cracking myself up every time. this immediately following ‘so no more of your SoUNd can pollute this Wuhrrld.’?#the most back-to-back line deliveries of ever. god he’s so awful#louis is also FASCINATING... he's on at least four levels of repression at all points in time. so many Issues (affectionate)#and i guess i haven't technically read the book to compare but GOOD fucking move on the show's part making him a black man#makes his character and story and relationship with lestat so much more compelling on every level in addition to being. you know.#not as racist as the original novel in which i as i understand it he owns a slave plantation.#and GOD the performances are SO FUCKING GOOD... the chemistry between the two of them is insane.#i love it when relationships are horrible and toxic and awful and have a body count in the hundreds! 🥰#caseyposting
