slight pet peeve about the metazooa game--it has eumetazoa as a clade, in the sense that the game can say ''the answer isn't a wolf, but a wolf and the answer animal are both in eumetazoa!!'' but doesn't have any guessable animals outside of it. I know that--from a normal person's body of animal knowledge--there's only one animal outside eumetazoa (even though there are a lot of different varieties of sponges) but it would be nice to be *able* to guess that

#metazooa #sometimes when i figure out what the animal is in a practice round with a large number of guesses remaining #i'll use up all but one of my remaining guesses filling up the tree with as many clades as I can #and it always bugs me that i can make the eumetazoa clade appear but i can't guess any thing to make a branch appear directly from metazoa #anyway my opening guess is always ''armadillo'' because if i guess ''wolf'' and get ''no but it *is* a therian'' back #i will always forget that armadillos exist and are this weird ancient offshoot of therian mammals so i just get the out of the way to start #and sometimes when you guess a mammal you'll get ''no but it is a jawed vertebrate!'' at which point you've won #because at that point there's like four possible answers #and you knock out at least two for any wrong guess from there
