Flowers are a sure indicator of a good boy More Mav and Red bc I love them a lot. After the shock of meeting Red and his friends wears off, Mav knows she shouldn’t stick around. For over a year, she’s avoided staying in one place or making connections, which is a good idea when you’ve got recent blood on your hands. But spending time with friendly faces for the first time in forever really brings to light how lonely she’s been, how starved she is of contact, and hows its all affected her. And being around a very familiar face is admittedly comforting in the most unhealthy, addictive way. 

There was a time when she would have turned her nose up at Red’s kindness, but that was when she was a restless Easter Egg with something to prove, trapped in a box too small for her. Being older, more mature, wandering the endless internet with the world she knew dissolved completely... his sweetness is endearing.

And his genuine laugh is exactly how she remembers it.
