#oh i just love this arc i love the bosco episodes so much i really do#there's so much to them there's so many things to enjoy there's such a wealth of silly little things to think about but even just this#it's just - bosco was never going to LIKE jane! because of professional dislike/distrust towards him (and also because of the lisbon thing)#and jane was never going to LIKE bosco! because he 'took' red john from him (and also because of the lisbon thing)#(and both of those lisbon things are different things i could talk about for so long but they're also the same thing deep down)#neither of them wants to lose what they have with lisbon (and neither of them are in a position to take the next step they may want to)#meanwhile lisbon is faced with this - unspoken; implied; hinted at; blatantly said; and then right back to implied - choice#between bosco('s strict by the book way of doing things) and jane('s flexible more than a little unscrupulous methods)#and she chooses jane. multiple times. explicitly.#(because he will always choose her but she'll always choose him right back)#and watching that play out? fantastic incredible amazing and that's not even touching on all the other implied shit that goes on#like it's one of the times i'm most like 'i get what you say you were going for here but i'm not sure YOU get what you actually did'#(also when you add in that they're still coming off the craziness of the s1 finale.....like 16 more layers to consider...time of my life)#tm
